The Hangsen Classics E-liquids are a range of e-liquids which were designed with Hangsen’s years of experience in mind.
The company Hangsen started out in 2009 and were famous for creating the first VG / PG e-liquid recipe.
They have their own laboratories (9 in total worldwide) and are ISO 9, HACCP, GMP and CNAS qualified and other companies can hire their services to analyse e-liquid too.
So you could say Hangsen were one of the pioneers of the early vape movement – supplying reliable e-liquid and introducing different flavours. Today apparently the company have over 300 patents and technical copyrights to their name!
Hangsen Classics were created in 2019 as a collection of classic flavours which could be stocked by Vape stores or general retail establishments such as Convenience Stores or Fuel Stations.
Oh and the company won an award in our Ecigclick Awards 2013 for the “Best Value E-liquid”!
What To Expect From The Hangsen Classics E-liquid…
The branding is very obvious and you can see the simple no nonsense approach.
The bottles are designed to look classy and give the information required to those just quickly glancing across a shelf or counter.
Sometimes simplicity is the best option – how many times have you seen e-liquid bottles where the PG/VG info or nic content is that tiny or hidden in the middle of bright artwork? Not to mention those with flavour names that give you zero clue what the flavour is – like “Unicorn Arse”1 “Elf Piss”1 or something!

The bottles are 10ml in size and have a 50/50 VG/PG ratio. This is ideal for most starter kits which use higher resistance coils – i.e. 0.6ohm and higher. We tell you all about VG and PG proportions in our Guide To E-liquid.
These appear to have standard (Freebase) nicotine and there are multiple strengths to choose from – 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, 12mg or 18mg.
As these are only 10ml and don’t exceed the highest limit of 20mg they are fully TPD compliant and legal for sale in a variety of stores subject to age restrictions.
Each bottle also has a set price printed on of £2.50 which is excellent really for a good brand 10ml bottle.
The bottles have childproof caps and each bottle is also shrink wrapped when you remove it from the box. Thankfully there is a perforated section so you can easily remove the shrink wrap!

How Do The Hangsen Classics E-liquids Perform?
For this section I will be using my Geekvape Ammit MTL RDA to test the flavours on my Tesla Punk 86W mod.
Simply if I used a kit with stock coils I would have to discard my coil every time I tried a new flavour. With an RDA I simply remove the wicking, wipe out excess e-liquid and dry burn the coil. Add a new chunk of cotton and I get all the flavour of the next liquid with little expense!
As always flavour testing is so subjective with many different variables. My aim is to really see if the flavours live up to their promise!
Blueberry

I say:
This one was the first one I tried as I love a bit of Blueberry.
Opening the bottle greeted me with a lovely sweet Blueberry smell so I have high hopes for this one!
The flavour when vaping is not quite as strong as I imagined – but I love extra flavour. When I mix my own e-liquid I use 20% concentrate which is not very coil friendly. So as you can tell a lot of e-liquid feels muted flavour wise to me.
However slightly muted flavour is not a bad thing – as a lot of people are put off when liquids are too sweet or over flavoured and toning this down helps make it an “All Day Vape” – i.e. you can vape it all day without it getting sickly.
The “All Day Vape” category is exactly where this sits, enough flavour to be able to taste the lovely sweet Blueberry but not overwhelmingly sweet or sickly.
I would like some extra flavour in here, but it is by no means flavourless. You could happily chuck this in a pod kit and puff away all day long.
Also as I have a very sweet tooth this is lovely for me – but those expecting a tangy sharp fruit flavour might be disappointed. It is definitely on the sweeter side rather than sharp.
Very nice but not outstanding, however if I was stuck for e-liquid and saw this in a corner shop I would buy this as it is very pleasant.
The fact that after writing all this – I am still puffing away on it is a very good sign indeed!
Menthol

I Say:
The smell from this is a lovely Spearmint – rather than a sharp Peppermint.
However brace yourself for the ice cold blast you get when vaping. Bloody hell didn’t expect it to be that cold!
Blimey that was a shock and the Eucalyptus is very heavy and drowns out what I expected to be a yummy spearmint.
But this is a Menthol – not a Mint e-liquid so the first sniff really threw me! Wrap up warm its flipping freezing on your throat.
Ideal if you have a sore throat and I think Menthol lovers will adore this liquid and the freshness it provides.
So not minty but heavy Eucalyptus just like a cough sweet! It 100% delivers what it promises! I imagine it is what Olbas Oil would taste like!
Not my cup of tea really but it gets 10/10 for being a true Menthol – but Mint lovers might not enjoy it as much.
Hangsenberg

I say:
Years ago I used to love a drop of Heisenberg E-liquid – a mix of Berries and Menthol.
As you can see from the name and description of this flavour I expect it to be pretty similar! It is quite a universal flavour which many brands have made their own version of.
Sniffing this is not that pleasant to be honest there is a chemically smell, a sort of Rubber / Vinyl Surgical Gloves smell which is not a great start!
But I won’t judge just yet as the Menthol flavour smelled like Mint yet was totally different to vape!
It is worth noting that this liquid has a slight blue colour – so if you dislike colouring in e-liquid it would be best to avoid this one.
Thankfully the Rubbery-ness has vanished when you vape this – phew!
I can taste a lot of Liquorice and lots of cooling Menthol Eucalyptus, but the Berries seem to be absent. The main predominant flavour is Liquorice which when you see Aniseed is mentioned on the description that makes a lot of sense.
Not my cup of tea and not how I remember Heisenberg to be all those years ago – I detest Liquorice so I wouldn’t have enjoyed it if that was the flavour.
Not enough Berries in this version I am afraid – but if you are a Liquorice / Aniseed fan you will be very happy.
I am giving this a lower score as it doesn’t match the description which states there will be “Berry Undertones”. To me the missing Berries mean this is not the most accurate of Heisenberg reproductions. It is just not Fruity enough!
Strawberry

So that is a good start – I love those sweets! Let’s hope it vapes as good as it smells!
Yay! This is what I am talking about – super delicious!
This is not one for those who like genuine tart fruit flavours – this is definitely for the sweet toothed out there.
It may be argued that this is a synthetic Strawberry flavour – which is true – it is not realistic if you compare it to a fresh Strawberry. But it matches perfectly with the Strawberry Chewits sweets I mentioned above.
This is right up my street and it does match the description but it may disappoint those who were expecting sharp natural fruity flavour.
I have marked it slightly lower than 10 as it doesn’t replicate real Strawberry – but it does replicate a Strawberry chew. Personally I love it!
There is plenty of flavour without it being sickly and I could vape this all day long!
Purple Grape

I say:
Oh dear not a great first impression this – the smell is very synthetic. It reminds me of a fruity Shampoo or Shower Gel. However the other flavours smelt very different to how they tasted so this is not a big deal.
Vaping wise this is very strange…
There feels like a lot of cooling in here – despite it not being stated on the description – which also has a minty tinge to it?
Behind the minty stuff is a definite Grape flavour but this sort of fades into the background and only appears when you exhale.
This is still a decent vape – but perhaps it should mention Ice or Menthol in the description?
If I bought this I would still vape it, but it is not my favourite flavour and I am not a fan of Ice-y vapes so I would be a bit disappointed. But it is tasty and by no means revolting!
Forest Fruits

Sniffing this I get Strawberry and Blueberry vibes which is a great start – looking forward to this one!
Oh yes this flavour is right up my street and exactly what I would expect from Forest Fruits flavours which I have tried in other brands.
There is no Ice thankfully and you get a burst of fruit straight from the inhale.
It is quite earthy and not as sweet as the others which makes this feel like a more natural fruit flavour.
I know it sounds silly but this is Autumnal – think of wrapping up warm in front of a roaring fire.
It is hard to pinpoint which flavour is dominant as the description says this is a Fruit Punch where all the different fruits are happily mixed together without any taking over the gaff.
This has been the hardest flavour to describe as usually you get a predominant flavour this is just a lovely blend of dark fruits.
Personally as a “sweet toothed flavour craver” I would like the flavour concentration to be dialled up a bit but as it is it is calm enough to be an All Day Vape without getting sickly.
Final Review Verdict
When you consider the price per bottle (£2.50 Printed on the box) and the fact these are “Convenience Store” vape liquids they do a great job.
They are not up to the flavour quality or complexity of some other brands but compared to what you can buy over the counter in a Petrol Station I would be very pleased that they are palatable and taste like they are supposed to.
I found a couple of the flavour descriptions to be a bit off – the Hangsenberg was the most disappointing as it seemed way off what I was expecting from the standard Heisenberg flavour. The Aniseed twist seemed really odd.
If you are a “blow your tonsils out” Menthol vaper you are in luck as the Menthol flavour 100% delivers! The Forest Fruits was another one which really delivered too.
But most of the other flavours do what they say on the box – in varying degrees of accuracy.
Years ago when I first started vaping a lot of e-liquids were disgusting, tasting of chemicals. As a basic range the Classics are not going to put anyone off vaping like early e-liquids did.
As the ones I am reviewing only have 6mg Nic I am not getting a throat hit. If that is what you are after I would recommend going for the 12mg or 18mg strengths.
The Hangsen Classics E-liquids range are not the most flavoursome or complex vapes I have tried, but on the whole they do a very decent job and are value for money. Also the convenience of being able to grab them in the middle of the night when most vape stores are closed means you will at least get a decent vape and not waste your money.
