It’s great to see another market leading disposables manufacturer releasing their most popular disposable flavours as stand-alone e-liquids. This will only help to encourage people to switch from single use disposables to refillable pod kits!
By using nicotine salt instead of traditional freebase nicotine, you get a nicotine hit that is absorbed into the bloodstream much quicker. This gives you quicker satisfaction for your nicotine craving and the ability to vape higher nicotine strengths without a harsh throat hit.
Before I start this review off, I must mention that as with any e-liquid, taste is subjective. In my review I will write up my own experiences with each e-liquid.
Your experience may differ, as people have differing palates, preferences on taste and different vaping set ups which can offer a totally different flavour experience.
For this review, I’ll be using my SXMini Puremax pod system with a 0.6ohm pod and my Voopoo Argus E40 pod system with a 0.6ohm pod. The nicotine strength of the e-liquids I was sent is 10mg.

Anyway, let’s have a look at the Gold Bar Salts E-liquids…
Banana Ice
They say
Banana Ice nic salt e-liquid by Gold Bar is a fruity flavour with a frosty finish, cooling down the ripe and creamy notes of Banana with a chilly layer of ice.

If you are expecting an authentic Banana flavour from this one… then look away now!
This is Foam Banana Sweet goodness all the way, if you are a fan of that sort of thing!
It’s quite full frontal Foam Banana Sweet flavour from the get go in my Voopoo Argus E40. With just a touch of an icy cooling sensation at the end. It’s not a combination that I’ve ever enjoyed if I’m honest, but I know there are others out there that do.
I’ve said this a few times in historical reviews… Banana and ice just does not go for me!
Lemon Lime
They say
Lemon Lime nic salt e-liquid by Gold Bar is a complimentary fusion of citrus fruits, pairing zingy Lemon flavour with zesty notes of Lime.

A favourite flavour of mine and many others, given that it is one of the best selling disposable flavours! So I’m always keen to try a Lemon Lime flavour!
This is a very enjoyable one as well. It has a good blend of Lemon and Lime flavours and I thought that both of them came through equally well. There’s a sweet undertone to the citrus flavours and a nice hint of cooling to round it all off.
Quite like the Lemon and Lime Ice Lollies that I enjoyed as a child, I think the cooling sensation really adds to that vibe!
Watermelon Ice
They say
Watermelon Ice nic salt e-liquid by Gold Bar freezes the bold and juicy taste of Watermelon with a frosty blast of ice on exhale.
We say
If you are craving an authentic Watermelon flavour, this won’t be for you.
This is very much a disposable bar salt styled Candied Watermelon flavour, topped off with some koolada for a cooling sensation!
I felt the Watermelon flavour itself was much too strong and artificial tasting and I did actually quite struggle with it a bit. I was almost thankful for the cooling aftertaste coming in and refreshing my palate at the end of each puff!
Summer Berries
They say
Summer Berries nic salt e-liquid by Gold Bar brings together an assortment of mixed berries with sweet and juicy notes for a fruity and complex vape.
We say
So here, I get a delightful mix of Strawberry and Raspberry flavours and what tastes like a background note of Blueberry.
It’s very well mixed. Yes the flavours might be the disposable style Candied versions – but I actually found the blending very pleasant.
Not too harsh and not too sweet either it is just about right and doesn’t overwhelm my palate at all.
A sweet and summery vape that I found most enjoyable!
Blue Raspberry
They say
Blue Raspberry nic salt e-liquid by Gold Bar is a bold and punchy blend that delivers the
tangy taste of Blue Raspberry with each puff.

For anyone that likes the taste of Blue Raspberry disposables – this one does the job of recreating that experience pretty well indeed!
It is full on Blueberry and Raspberry flavouring from start to finish. Although a little on the strong side for me – but it is a bar salt e-liquid so it isn’t going to pull any punches in that department!
There’s a nice mixed berry aftertaste at the end of this one, that leaves me with a mouth feel akin to having a mouthful of sweet berries.
Lemon Ice
They say
Lemon Ice nic salt e-liquid by Gold Bar freezes the sharp citrus zest of Lemon with an arctic blast of ice, which makes up the exhale.
We say
I did really like this one, in fact it was my favourite out of the ten that I got to try.
It is a straightforward flavour profile but blended very well and sometimes less is more!
I get a candied, Lemon Sherbet flavour at the start and this is capped off with a nice cooling sensation to finish, which balances out the sharp citrus tang.
With the koolada element to this e-liquid, it reminded me of a Lemon Ice Lolly and was just as refreshing too!
Oasis
They say
Oasis nic salt e-liquid by Gold Bar chills a complex medley of mixed berries and exotic fruits with a glacial breeze of icy menthol, for a fruity vape with a frosty finish.
We say
Oh yes, this reminded me of a Fruit Punch!
And there’s definitely a complex medley of different fruits present in this e-liquid. I get Strawberry as the most predominant flavour, with Pineapple, Mango, Raspberry and Red Apple flavours coming though in the background.
As you would expect from a combination like this, it is a very sweet one. But this does leave me with a thick, syrupy and fruity mouth feel afterwards which I quite liked!
Strawberry Guava Kiwi
They say
Strawberry Guava Kiwi nic salt e-liquid by Gold Bar complements the sweetness of Strawberry with exotic Guava notes, while a tart Kiwi taste adds a touch of tang.
We say
I think the Kiwi gets a little lost in this e-liquid.
I’m definitely getting the Candied Strawberry and Guava flavours on the inhale. Intertwining with each other right from the off and tasting pretty full-on and strong, but the Kiwi note is very muted at the end.
I tried this in both my Voopoo Argus E40 and SXmini Puremax and got the same result each time!
I had to mark this one down slightly as although I very much enjoyed the Strawberry and Guava elements to this e-liquid, I would have loved a touch more Kiwi to round this all off!
Raspberry Watermelon
They say
Raspberry Watermelon nic salt e-liquid by Gold Bar is a fruity blend that balances a sweet yet tart Raspberry flavour with sweeter notes of Watermelon.
We say
This one packs a really pleasing Candied Raspberry note at the start, that is quite thick and sweet at the same time. Then the Watermelon comes in… and kind of ruins it for me!
Unfortunately the Watermelon flavour note is just too strong for me here. It’s a Candied, artificial Watermelon flavour that I felt had a really harsh, artificial edge to it and it overpowers the Raspberry flavouring.
It kind of took me by surprise and it quickly drowns out that lovely Raspberry flavour.
It’s a shame, this could actually be quite an enjoyable combination if the Watermelon flavouring was turned down a notch and was a subtle background note!
Hawaiian Sunrise
They say
Hawaiian Sunrise nic salt e-liquid by Gold Bar layers the sweetness of Peach with the tropical tang of Pineapple and juicy taste of Watermelon.
We say
And we are finishing this review off on a high!
Hawaiian Sunrise is a delightful fruit combination. It has a mouthwatering juicy Peach to start things off, which actually tastes more like a realistic fruit flavour than an artificial Candied one.
Next, I get the Pineapple flavour, which is much like a Pineapple Cube Sweet and it does work really well mixing in with the Peach.
Thankfully the Watermelon flavour is toned down here and is more of a background note. It seems to continue that mouthwatering juiciness that the Peach introduces at the start of my puff on it.
Top stuff!
Final Review Verdict
Another big name in the disposables market releases their best selling disposable flavours as e-liquids, making the case to switch from a disposable vape to a refillable pod system even more compelling.
I know these are pretty much squarely aimed at people who still use disposable vapes, but fans of fruit e-liquids will find plenty to interest them in this range. And at a very competitive price point as well.
Gold Bar have already built up some huge brand recognition with the success of their disposable vape offerings. I have absolutely no doubt that their e-liquids will be incredibly successful too.
It seems like all of the major players (SKE Crystal being another recent one) now have their most popular disposable flavours available for you to purchase in e-liquid form. Which is better for your wallet and better for the environment too.
