This time I’m taking a look at the recently released Geekvape S100 kit, a 100w single 18650 battery mod that is paired with the Geekvape Z 2021 tank.
Geekvape has a great name for innovation, was founded in 2015 and is based in China.
Just lately Geekvape has been updating some of its more established kits to second versions notably their Aegis range – Aegis Legend updated to Geekvape L200 and Aegis Mini updated to Geekvape M100.
What Can We Expect From the Geekvape S100 Kit?
Geekvape S100 is a refreshed updated version of the Aegis Solo.
The device is Tri proof, as in its water, dust and shock resistant, the updated IP68 rating gives a more compact look and feel to the mod while maintaining metal aesthetics.
Along with a larger colour TFT screen the device has a unique lock mechanism.
The atomiser included with this kit is the Geekvape Z 2021 Sub Ohm tank this is a great looking topper, it come with top airflow and 5.5ml capacity, and is compatible with the Geekvape Z coil range.
The Geekvape S100 Kit is available in 6 colours.
This product was sent to me by Geekvape for the purpose of review.
As always my thoughts and views are my own after a considerable testing period.

Design and Build Quality
My kit came presented in a card board box with a paper sleeve, with a decent amount of extras.
Starting with the Geekvape S100 mod, it measures approx 80mm tall, with 40mm depth and has a tank diameter of 25mm.
The device chassis is an aluminium alloy construction, it has IP68 rubber highlights and metal action buttons.
Geekvape S100 From the Top
The Geekvape S100 has a stainless steel 510 connection plate seated over IP68 rubber.
The rubber flips up to revel the Type C USB port, the 510 threading is well turned and the connection pin is gold plated and spring loaded.
Geekvape S100 – Face
The large 1.08inch colour TFT screen is easy to read, although I wouldn’t call it the brightest even at 100%, however it does show everything that you would expect to see.
The fire button and adjustment rocker have a nice click to them when pressed.
On the back of the device there is a lightly stuffed faux leather panel that is surrounded with a metal frame.
Geekvape S100 Sides
The edges of the device have been comfortably chamfered.
On the left side if looking at the screen, within the frame you will see a large metal slide switch, this is for locking the device, a very useful feature.
The right side of the mod has advertising “GEEKVAPE” moulded into the metal frame.
Bottom of the Geekvape S100
The bottom of the Geekvape S100 is covered with IP68 rubber, with safety marks printed on to it.
The battery door is rather similar to that of the Aegis Solo, a round screw door.
This door is naturally a tight fit due the rubber, I personally find it hard to screw it down with the small handle, the door has some very lightly engraved information on it.
On the reverse side of the door is a minus symbol for battery orientation, and as expected the door has a rubber O-ring at the top of the thread to further insure better water resistance.
Inside the Geekvape S100 Mod
You will see the red plus symbol again for battery orientation and a gold plated connection pin.
Geekvape Z 2021 Tank
Made of stainless steel Pyrex and Delrin, the tank measures in at around 60mm tall including the mouth piece, the tank diameter is 25mm, ballooning out to around 28mm.
The tank dismantles into 6 parts including the coil and mouth piece.
The centre fill port and chimney section is all one piece, however the airflow ring does slide off and is engraved with “Geekvape Z”.
For decoration the chimney section has a hand with a lightning bolt, that I presume represents Zeus?
The fill port cap is a quarter screw on and off and has an embed O-ring to hold the mouthpiece in place, the fill port is 2 large kidney slots.
Lastly the tank base has all the relevant info engraved on to it, the base unscrews to revel the press in coil, the 510 threading is well turned with a none adjustable connection pin.
Geekvape S100 Coils
Two stock Kanthal Z series coils come with the kit:
- 2Ω (installed) 70 to 80w
- 25Ω 45 to 75w
Both the Z 2021 tank and the S100 mod are of excellent quality and design.
How Does the Geekvape S100 Kit Perform?
For this example I will be filling the Z 2021 tank with Kwik Vape “Lemon Tart” and using the pre installed 0.2Ω Kanthal coil.
Quick Start Guide
Geekvape S100 Mod
Place your battery into the device following the battery guide, I am using a HΩ Work 18650 battery, I have a review for Hohm tech batteries coming soon!
You can charge the battery via the USB type C port, but I always recommend using a standalone charger!
- Clicking the fire button x5 fast to turn the device on and off.
- Clicking the fire button x3 will enter the mode settings VW, TC, Bypass, VPC TCR and clear puff count.
- To change colour of the screen enter the mode settings and hold down both adjustment buttons 1s for each colour.
- Temp Control will round robin from 100 to 315c or 200 to 600f, Likewise the power will round robin from 5 to 100w.
Adjustment buttons
- Holding the fire + left or right button will alter the screen brightness.
- To turn on and off the stealth mode press all 3 buttons together.
Geekvape Z 2021 Tank
Choose which coil you want to use!
- Prep the coil with a few drops of e-liquid on all exposed cotton press into the tank and reassemble.
- Remove the top cap and fill with e-liquid.
Leave the tank standing for 2 or 3 minutes so the coil can soak up more liquid.
Screw the tank in place on the Geekvape S100 – enjoy.
Using the Geekvape S100 Kit
I have to say I was very comfortable and impressed with this kit right from the get go, the feel and the weight in my hand is just right.
Starting with 35w I received a cool but cloudy vape from the Z 2021 tank, upping the wattage to 45w was better with more warmth came thicker vapour.
I took the device through to 80w, 5 watts at a time the vapour production was very good at each stage and the flavour was fair.
Normally I don’t like to push stock coils to much but knowing the Zeus coils can handle the power!
I took the coil to 90w the flavour while still there was diminished somewhat, the vapour however was out of this world.
This tank is quite airy so I tend to turn the airflow to about half, also chain vaping does warm the tank up a lot lol.
My normal go to with this setup is between 50 and 65w!
Geekvape S100 Temperature Control
I tested the S100 in TC SS mode at 420f and 60w, the unit delivered good flavour and quite a cloudy vape.
Geekvape S100 Battery life
At 50w DTL I get about 2.5 to 3 hours normal vape time with a single 18650 battery, this drops if I chain vape to around 1½ hours, I would have been happier if the mod was compatible with a 21700 battery.
Geekvape S100 Water Test
For the dunk test I left the device in water for 20 minutes without a battery!
Result
The mod worked fine after I dried it and put the battery back in.
No water intruded past the battery door or the IP68 USB Type C port bung.
Pros
Geekvape S100 Mod
- Great Quality
- Excellent Design
- Fair battery life
- Locking switch
- IP68 rating
Tank
- Excellent vapour production
- Fair flavour production
- Leak free during testing
Cons
- Brightness of the screen could be better
- Battery door is tight
Geekvape S100 Final Review Verdict
I love all the Aegis range, so I was quite excited when this kit came through my door!
This is a great little kit that stood up to my tests with valour.
As an update to the original Aegis Solo it’s a worthy replacement, I like what they have done with it.
I particularly I like the great feature of the slide lock.
The only thing I wish Geekvape had done was to make the S100 a 21700 compatible device.
Would I recommend the Geekvape S100 Kit?
This is a very easy kit to use and maintain so “Yes”
Would I buy this device again due loss or damage?
“Yes” if I lost this kit I sure would be seeking to buy another!
Is this a kit you’re looking top buy or are already using?
Please let me know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below…
Can I use CBL in this vape?
Is this an e-liquid? It depends on the mixture and strength.
Usually lower power kits are recommended for CBD e-liquid but as the liquid can be quite thick some kits cannot cope with it.
Usually for CBD you would choose ceramic coils. But again it depends on the e-liquid properties. It should tell you how much PG/VG is in the make up?
Sadly I have no experience of CBL here in the UK so I have kind of compared it to CBD as I think that would be similar in structure?
I feel like the coils burn up fast maybe because they are so small. I spend more time dry puffing it to get a good flavor. I’m set at 50W and may go back to my old tank. I am a chain vapor so I know that doesn’t help!
Hi can I use a MTL tank on this device if so which would be the most suitable
Hi Edith, yes, pretty much any MTL tank would be suitable on this.
Hello, what’s the biggest diameter that could fit in S100 without overhang?
Hi,
the biggest tank I have had on the S100 is the Aspire Evo at 25.6mm even this tank is a little big by I would say .2mm it does look ok though, the mod edging is bevelled so the evo tank does look comfortable and not out of place on the S100.
