Today I’m excited to look at one of GeekVape’s newest devices, the Geekvape L200 (Legend 2) Classic!
Comparing this device to its predecessors, its overall inspiration is taken from both the Original Aegis Legend 200 and the Legend 2 (L200). It has a thick coating of IP68-rated material and runs on dual 21700 batteries!
Geekvape has paired this device with the Z max tank a good solid leak-proof flavour beast!
Founded in 2015 Geekvape are based in Shenzhen China.
They have produced many mods and tanks over the years, certainly far too many to list here! Their Aegis product line is indisputably their most popular range to date!
What to Expect From the Geekvape L200 Classic Kit?
This kit is a beast – compared to the Original Legend – the Classic looks like it’s been on steroids lol.
The biggest difference between the classic and the earlier versions of the Legend is that the Classic can run with dual 21700 batteries.
Geekvape has also added a boosting mode, which automatically boosts the output and flavour to that of the coil resistance!
The classic is coated with an IP68 Rubber material making it water, dust, and shockproof, which is certainly useful for those like me who are just plain clumsy lol.
My kit came with the standard 6ml Z Max Tank. If purchased within the TPD area this tank will be subject to the reduced 2ml capacity!
There are 6 colourful designs to choose from: Black, Beige, Volcanic Gray, Red, Rainbow, and Blue!
A big thank you to Geekvape, for sending the kit directly to me for the review!
Like always my thoughts and views are my own, after a considerable testing period.

Design and Build Quality
I was sent the Beige design – it came in a card box with a paper over sleeve, as always Geekvape includes a good amount of extras under the main tray!
Geekvape Z Max Tank
This Z(eus) Max tank, has a connection base diameter of 25mm with an overall height of 55mm.
My tank came with a 6ml glass tank making its centre diameter 32mm.
The tank has a ¼ turn cap making it easy to fill, this tank also has top adjustable airflow!
The base unscrews from the main body to reveal the coil, the base cup has all the safety and manufacture marks engraved on it. The coil cover has been engraved with the Zeus logo on both sides, also the removable top airflow ring has “Geekvape” engraved on both edges.
Disassembling the Z Max tank has 7 parts including the coil!
The kit comes with 2 kanthal mesh coils.
- 0.14Ω M Series (Single) Coil 60 to 80w
- 0.2Ω M Series (Triple) Coil 75 to 85w
With others available to purchase separately.
This is a good solid leak-proof tank that has been manufactured well!
Geekvape L200 (Legend 2) Classic Device
The device is around 95mm tall or 147mm with the tank in place, the width is around 60mm and will comfortably take 30mm tanks!
The main chassis is made of zinc alloy with a thick rubber coating.
From the top
The Classic has a flush 510 connection point, with a gold-plated and spring-loaded pin and well-turned threading.
You will note a rubber flap on top; this covers the 2amp Type C charge port!
Geekvape L200 Classic – Body
Is covered by a thick Ingress protected Rubber coating with a rating of 6.8 (IP68).
Like most Aegis devices this one has a metal protection frame that has been stamped with “Geekvape” on both sides!
The Classic has a comfortable rounded and padded faux Leather backing.
Like many of Geekvape’s newer devices, this one has an A-lock slide on one side of the body that completely locks the mod!
Geekvape L200 Classic – Workface
This device has a fire button and a rocker adjustment button. They are both made of plastic and are nice and clicky.
The 1.08” TFT colour screen has information that includes –
- Mode – power etc
- Dual battery bar
- Wattage/ TC adjustment
- Resistance reader
- Voltage output meter
- Puff counter
- Last puff time
Geekvape L200 Classic – Battery Door
The Rubber surrounding the battery switch/slide has been very faintly printed with the design and manufacture information as well as the normal safety marks on!
Inside the door is a gold-plated metal strip with the battery with “-” and “+” symbols stamped into the metal. The battery compartment is made of plastic and looking into the sled are the corresponding colour battery symbols.
I am very impressed by the quality and design that has bought this kit to life!
Quick Start Guide
Insert your choice of batteries 21700s or 18650s into the mod following the battery guides and or adaptors.
Charging the batteries via the 2amp Type C port is possible but as always, I recommend the use of an external charger!
Geekvape Z Max Tank
Choose one of the two coils that came with the kit.
- Prime the coil with a few drops of e-liquid on all visible cotton
- Push the coil into the tank
- Replace the base and remove the ¼ turn top cap and fill the tank
Replace the cap and screw the tank on the device. Leave the kit alone for at least 3 minutes before firing so the cotton can soak up more liquid!
Geekvape L200 Classic – Basic Operation
- Turning on and off – click the fire button x5 rapidly
- Changing screen colours – press the fire button x3 times and then both adjustment buttons together, there are 5 colours to choose from
- Resetting the puff count – press the fire button x3, press the fire button to toggle the cursor and select puff, and press – to clear the value.
- Power output modes – press the fire button x3, use the + and – to scroll the options ~ Boosting/Variable wattage/Temperature Control Ni, Ti, SS /TCR/VPC (Variable Power curves) and BYPASS.

This unit will round robin from 5 to 200W!
I couldn’t find any protections listed for this device in the paperwork or online!
However, there is a 10 second max vape time.
How Does the Geekvape L200 (Legend 2) Classic Perform?
Today I will be using Geekvape L200 Classic with the 0.14Ω coil in the Geekvape Z Max Tank. For e-liquid, I will be using T Juice Blue Bomb.
I own both the Original Legend and the L200!
Having used the Original Aegis Legend daily for 4 years, it’s now showing its age slightly just like me, but still going strong!
I acquired the L200 a year ago as a replacement but went back to using the OG as I didn’t get the same satisfaction of security I got from the original.
Geekvape L200 Classic
While the Classic is almost too big for my hands I do appreciate the size and weight. What really sealed the deal for me was being able to use dual 21700 batteries, giving me power for at least 2 days of constant use. It functions very well with no issues in all of its modes!
Geekvape has added a boosting function to the wire select menu, and while I personally don’t like using the boost function, it works very well.
What did disappoint me just like the other versions of the Legend, the classic has no key lock-only function, relying solely on the A-lock!
My Tests
At 65W with the Z Max tank in place, the device is fast to fire with a good amount of vapour and a very decent flavour.
I also tested the device with my 30mm Temple RDA with a pair of 0.1Ω flapton coils at 100/120W, filling up my small office with vapour was no problem!
Water test
I dropped the mod with the batteries in place and no tank into a bucket of water for 30 minutes!
Result
Was perfect, no water entered the device via the battery door, Type C charge port or the A-lock slide.
Drop Test
From waist height, I dropped the mod 3 times without the tank onto my stone carport!
Result
No damage was evident, but this thing sure does bounce lol.
Pros
- Very good quality and design
- Great flavour
- Decent vapour production
- Comfortable to hold
- Very easy to use
- Excellent battery life
Cons
No concerns with functionality, quality and design with either the mod or tank.
Final Review Verdict
I couldn’t nail down anything that truly concerned me with this kit, I was a little peeved that the key lock function is not present again with this version of the product however after using it for 2 weeks I can say it hasn’t misfired or change wattages on me yet!
Would I recommend the Geekvape L200 Classic kit?
Yes, I’d recommend it, but this isn’t going to be for everyone! It’s wide, tall and heavy!
Would I buy this kit again due to loss or damage?
Yes, I’d consider buying it, the price of the mod only is very reasonable.
