I have a selection of the Flumlite Nic Salt e-liquid range in for review!
These have been created to partner with the Flumlite Snugg extended use disposable vape. This has been reviewed separately.
However you are not restricted from using this range with other vape devices – it is ideal for MTL (Mouth To Lung) low power pod kits, vape pens and starter kits!
What Can We Expect From The Flumite Nic Salt E-liquid Range?
The range has a total of 10 flavours to choose from and they come in TPD Compliant 10ml bottles with 10mg or 20mg Nicotine Salt strengths.
Flumlite state that one bottle is the equivalent of 5 disposable vapes – which is true as UK TPD Compliant disposable vapes will only hold 2ml of e-liquid.
I received 4 flavours:
- Fruity Hawaii (10mg nic strength)
- Blue Razz Lemonade (20mg nic strength)
- Menthol (10mg nic strength)
- Cherry Ice (20mg nic strength)
The e-liquid mix ratio is 60%PG / 40%VG which is more suitable for low power pens, pods and starter kits. This mix is too thin for higher power kits and may cause leaks and spitting.
I will be using my OXVA Xlim Pro kit for these with a new V2 0.8ohm pod for each flavour.
Thank you to Flumlite for sending these over for me to review and 4 of the Snugg kits! I will report back honestly on my findings and opinions of the products in my possession!
As always e-liquid reviewing is very subjective. It can vary due to the individual palate of the reviewer, plus different equipment can also alter the flavour perception.
So please just use my findings as a guide. I will try to assess how well these flavours meet their descriptions and will mark them out of 10 at the end of the review.
Packaging
These come within a box which is surprisingly tall when you consider the size of the bottle.
Inside the box you will find a brief instruction leaflet which is a nice touch.
The bottle itself is sealed within a bag, which makes sure the e-liquid doesn’t leak in transit and also prevents tampering. However this is an additional layer of packaging that creates more waste.
The information on the box is excellent, it includes all the relevant warnings and legal logos. Plus the flavour, nicotine strength, ingredients and PG/VG ratio are all very clearly presented. There are contact details for the company too which is required.
You will find a manufacturing date and expiry date on the rear of the box, which reassures me there are sufficient tracing measures in place should there be a recall.
Although the box is full of information, it is not quite as clear on the bottle.
Due to many regulations, so much info has to be displayed on the bottle that it becomes unreadable. That is the case here. You can see in the photo below I have shown the tip of a pen to help gauge how small the text really is. It does contain the required warnings and ingredients but without taking a photo and zooming in – is pretty impossible to read.
A tamper proof and childproof cap helps to keep the contents safe and a thin nozzle means you should be able to fill the majority of kits easily.
A little tip – one side of the bottle is softer than the other. So when squeezing press where the raised triangle is!
Sadly there are no flavour descriptions on the Flumlite website but Vape Club as an official stockist have brief descriptions so I have used those!
Fruity Hawaii
Vape Club Says…
“Fruity Hawaii nic salt e-liquid by Flumlite is an exotic blend through and through. Tangy Pineapple is countered by sweet notes of Peach before a juicy-tasting Mango flavour ties this blend together.”
I Say…
Before I noticed the flavour descriptions on the Vape Club website, I was dreading this being very “Coconut-ty”.
Thankfully there is no Coconut to be found here – phew! But there is a mention of one of my other flavour nemeses – Mango.
I have to say this is pretty delicious with a slight cooling to just freshen things up as Mango can often become a bit heavy and earthy.
The Pineapple and Peach are a lovely blend and are the first flavours you will notice on inhale. As you exhale the Mango becomes more apparent.
Personally I would prefer there to be no Mango in here – yes I am a hater. The Peach and Pineapple are so beautiful without it. But if you are a Mango fan you will be happy with how it rounds out the flavour on the exhale.
Blue Razz Lemonade
Vape Club Says…
“Blue Razz Lemonade nic salt e-liquid by Flumlite is a fruity take on the classic soda flavour. The sweet, yet tart notes of Blue Raspberry interlace into a fizzy-tasting Lemonade base with every puff.”
I Say…
This is exactly the kind of flavour profile which would make me pick up an e-liquid off the shelf in a shop! Right up my street!
Oh yes this is amazing! There is some gentle cooling – but again not enough to be painful!
This has sweetness on the inhale but a sour taste is left on your tongue after exhaling!
The first flavour you get is the lovely Blue Raspberry, sweet and juicy. As you exhale the Lemonade kicks in and dials down the sweetness.
This flavour should suit those like me with a mega sweet tooth and those who like a vape with a bit of a tang too! With the flavour being highly concentrated, those who enjoy a disposable vape will be very happy too!
Triumphant!
Menthol
Vape Club Says…
“Menthol nic salt e-liquid by Flumlite is a cool blend from start to finish. Chilled yet sweet menthol provides a floral flavour with a frosty hit that comes through from inhale to exhale.”
I Say…
People may think most Menthol e-liquids are the same, but they can vary. You can get minty ones, Eucalyptus ones and some which are just ice cold!
This is a mixture of all 3 – wow!
The Eucalyptus is heavy at first but it evolves into the flavour of those Spearmint Chews you used to have as a kid (if you are my age that is!) You almost get the dry texture of the chew on your tongue too after exhaling!
There is an initial icy blast which does calm down as you exhale but you can still feel the cold in your lungs! For me that makes the level of cooling a bit uncomfortable as you get the sensation of breathing in icy cold air on a frosty day.
It is a very very complex menthol blend – with more dimensions than you would usually find. Personally I would prefer the cooling to be turned down a touch and a little less Eucalyptus – but that is my own preference.
If you like a floral, ice cold and minty menthol – this would be an excellent purchase!
Cherry Ice
Vape Club Says…
“Cherry Ice nic salt e-liquid by Flumlite takes a distinctive fruit flavour and puts it on ice. A sweet, dark and juicy cherry flavour is cooled on exhale by an icy finish.”
I Say…
The first thing I notice is that this e-liquid has quite a lot of cooling.
As you continue to inhale and exhale the flavour evolves.
It starts as a synthetic perfume-like Cherry but then metamorphoses into a darker Cherry with a very deep and well-rounded flavour.
There is almost that earthy quality that you often get with a Mango flavour. Which for me is not something I enjoy.
This is very different to what I was expecting as I am usually a huge fan of Cherry vapes. But this version is more for those who like some depth and something which elevates from the usual confectionary style offering.
I really am not sure about this. As the initial taste is very synthetic and the final taste is very earthy.
A very strange Cherry rendition, but it does have a lot of depth and the flavour transforms between the inhale and exhale. However not for me with a super sweet tooth!
Flumlite Nic Salt E-liquid Final Review Verdict
An impressive range of e-liquids in my eyes!
Although I wasn’t 100% enthralled with the flavours, I cannot deny the quality and effort in the blending.
All of these were above and beyond the usual “Disposable Style” e-liquid offerings, with depth and variations that I was not expecting at all.
If you currently use disposable vapes, I would recommend buying a quality refillable kit such as any from the OXVA Xlim or Uwell Caliburn ranges and a bundle of the Flumlite Nic Salt e-liquids. But of course if you would like the ease of a disposable why not combine them with their sibling the Flumlite Snugg!
They pack a punch with the level of flavourings and have some nice surprises too!
Let me know if you have tried any of the Flumlite Nic Salt e-liquids in the comments below!
