The Fizzle e-liquid review, and drink flavoured juices are one of those types of vape that I’ve not had a lot of experience with.
Especially when a company just does 1 or 2 in a much bigger lineup of juice, I’m always left thinking that they just taste like the flavours of the drink, whilst not catching the refreshing feel of bubbles.
With a name like Fizzle, I’m expecting to get a little more of the crackly refreshment that you get from a proper fizzy drink, so we shall see if they can deliver.
What Can We Expect From Fizzle E-liquid?
Fizzle are an e-liquid company from the UK who focus on drink flavoured e-liquids.
When fizz meets fog, Fizzle is an exclusive range of classic carbonated drinks, just as refreshing as the real thing! Truly exquisite fizzy flavours that bring life to your tastebuds.
There’s a couple of modern energy drinks inspired flavours (apparently the Green is a bit of a monster, but hopefully the Red doesn’t taste like bull…), as well a couple of old-timey drinks like Cream Soda and Shandy, and also the delightfully hipster sounding “Pomegranate Lemonade”.
So do these vapes make you imagine your drinking your carbonated sugary drink of choice? Only one way to find out!
For all of these taste tests I used my Wotofo Profile, with the 0.18Ω mesh, freshly wicked each time.
These all come in at 50ml 70/30 VG/PG blends in a 60ml bottle to allow you to add your own nic shot.
I received these from Dispergo, who are also the distributor of Rachael Rabbit, Udderly, Tru Juice and Tonics. But I am not swayed by freebies, so I will report back honestly with what I find.
Fizzle E-liquid – Cream Soda – 0mg 70/30 VG PG
Fizzle Say:
Sweet and smooth cream soda
I Say:
This has got to be the most challenging of flavours they’ve sought to capture here. Cream soda is a really sweet smooth drink, that gets all of its interest and refreshment from the fact that it’s carbonated.
Seriously, if you think I’m exaggerating, try letting a bottle of cream soda go flat! Not good…
Smelling it and I’m not entirely sure what I’m getting, there’s a hint of vanilla, but also some citrus smells.
Giving it a vape, and I’m struck by how subtle the flavour is. It’s definitely got the sweetness I would expect from Cream Soda, but only a touch of vanilla as a flavour.
On the exhale and I start to see how they’re making this feel like it’s got bubbles.
There’s a sherbert taste to it, that gives a little bit of an edge to it. Combined with a crackly coil, I can see how it almost feels like a fizzy drink.
All in all though, it’s a perfectly fine vape, but there’s just nothing terribly interesting about it. Then again, I was never all that interested in Cream Soda as a drink anyway!
Fizzle E-liquid – Green Energy – 0mg 70/30 VG PG
Fizzle Say:
A monster of a flavour… Green energy
I Say:
Now I think we can all work out which energy drink this one is wanting to emulate, and as I start every day with one of these to get me going, I feel fairly qualified to comment on it!
Smelling the bottle, it has a very sweet, lime and miscellaneous fruit smell.
Vaping it and they seem to have nailed the flavour profile, normally I would knock some points off for how artificial it tastes… but in this case it means it’s bang on the money.
Artificial goodness!
It’s a refreshing vape, despite being quite sweet. There’s lime coming through, and the sherbet taste comes back to give you the feeling of carbonation.
Fizzle E-liquid – Shandy – 0mg 70/30 VG PG
Fizzle Say:
Retro sweet style lemonade and beer
I Say:
Opening this up, the smell I was greeted with immediately took me back to being 10 or 11, and having a can of Bass Shandy!
I never knew I was missing a shandy vape in my life, and I’m really glad that Fizzle have fixed that for me.
There’s a lovely bitterness to it on the inhale, but that’s immediately offset by plenty of sweet lemonade, mellowing the whole thing out.
It’s definitely a sweet vape this one, but I’m seeing surprisingly little discolouration of the cotton, so whatever magic they’ve worked has kept things a lot cleaner than I would expect with this flavour profile.
I’m not sure I’d want this as an all day vape, as it feels more like it should be a treat, reserved for having a sit in the sun after a busy day. But I can definitely recommend it!
Fizzle E-liquid – Red Energy – 0mg 70/30 VG PG
Fizzle Say:
Classic energy drink flavour, with a charge!
I Say:
This is another well known energy drink, and again you get a very artificial smell from it to begin with, layered with red berries.
On the inhale you definitely get a mouthwatering blend of berries. Quite sweet and luscious!
Exhaling and there’s that clean sherbert sensation coming through, it really helps clear your mouth from what might otherwise be quite a sickly vape.
It’s not quite as refreshing as the green energy, but it’s definitely a vape that I’d be happy to keep coming back to.
Fizzle E-liquid – Pomegranate Lemonade – 0mg 70/30 VG PG
Fizzle Say:
Sweet pomegranate fizzy lemonade.
I Say:
The final vape here, and the only one where I have never tried the drink it’s supposed to taste like. Pomegranates, yes. Lemonade, yes. But never a pomegranate lemonade!
On the smell test I’m getting the fruitiest smell of the lot, with a little bit of a chemical tang, like strawberry laces.
There’s definitely a lot of pomegranate in the vape, lovely rich flavours and I can almost imagine the seeds.
On the exhale there’s just a touch of a fizzy citrus flavour, but it doesn’t seem nearly as pronounced as their other flavours.
It’s still a very pleasant vape, but it feels more like a straight pomegranate, than a fizzy drink.
Final Review Verdict
They’re not all up my street, but I have to take my hat off to Fizzle for managing to make an e-liquid that feels like it’s got carbonation!
Although I did my main taste testing with a mesh strip, these really sing with a lovely crackly coil.
The sherbet flavour makes it feel like the flavour is fizzing away.
I’m also really impressed at how clean these vape. Despite the fact that they’re really sweet, they don’t gunk up the cotton much at all. Clever work!
The two energy drink flavours stick pretty close to their inspiration, and the cream soda does taste like cream soda! Sadly Pomegranate Lemonade doesn’t have the sense memory of the others to hang it’s hat on.
But the Shandy was the stand out, and felt like a real blast from the past!
