The Eleaf iStick Power 2 & 2C are two new kit releases. They are quite similar so I will be covering both in this preview…
The difference between the 2 and 2C is the method of power – the “2” has an internal battery and the “2C” has removable batteries.
More Details On The Eleaf iStick Power 2 & 2C Kits
These kits are the update to the early iStick Power which scored well in review here in 2016.
As mentioned above there are two different versions of the mod – the “2” has a 5000mAh internal battery and the “2C” uses 2×18650 batteries which are not included.
Also the output is different between the two versions – the “2” has a 1-80W variable wattage output and the “2C” has a 1-160W variable output.
Both versions include a USB Type C port which can charge the battery at up to a 2A charge rate.
A 0.69in colour TFT screen provides all of your vaping data at a glance and the Avatar Smart chip provides the brains.
In addition to Variable Wattage, you can also select the “Smart Mode” which should set the output to match the coil automatically or the Variable Voltage mode.
Included in the kit is the GTL pod but the type of pod depends on which area the kit is sold to…
For instance in non TPD regulated areas the 4.5ml version is available which includes the DTL (Direct to Lung) GTL pod tank and the GTL 0.8ohm and 0.4ohm coils.
In TPD regulated areas a MTL (Mouth to lung) 2ml tank is available which comes with the GTL 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm coils.
You can swap the coils between either but the capacity is different. If the terms “MTL” and “DTL” confuse you read our Guide To Vape Styles.
Both pods are refillable via the bottom fill port and the coil is removed / replaced by simply pushing in or pulling it out.
Airflow adjustment is provided and there are is a large airflow slot for DTL vaping and multiple small holes for MTL vaping.
All the coils are compatible with the iStick T80 kit, iSolo R, iSolo Air, Pico Compaq and Glass Pen.
There are 4 colours to choose from: Red, Light Brown, Blue and Dark Brown.
