The latest release from the Eleaf iStick stable is the iStick 200w TC, the most powerful iStick mod to date!

Much like the Wismec Reuleaux RX200s, which it will invariably draw comparisons to, it takes three 18650 batteries for long battery life and high power performance.eleaf istick 200w tc mod in hand

It also features support for the three most popular temperature control wires, with support for Ni200, Titanium and Stainless Steel, and a custom TCR option allowing you to input the TCR of other temperature control wires.

As the name suggests there is also a massive 200w output available here, enough to satisfy hardened cloud chasers. The firmware is also upgradable as well allowing you to take advantage of future firmware updates from the Eleaf team.

This looks like it could be a real challenger to the popular Wismec Reuleaux RX200, so let’s see how it checks out!

Design and Build Quality

The Eleaf iStick 200w TC is not a small device by any means, and this is mainly down to the fact it requires three 18650 batteries in order to run it. These are inserted through the base of the unit, by removing the battery cover.

This makes battery swapping easy, you are also able to charge via USB as the chip features on board balance charging.

In hand, with batteries installed it is quite a hefty unit, but it feels really well made.eleaf istick 200w mod size

There is a spring loaded 510 connector at the top which means that you can get a flush fit with atomisers that have a long 510 pin.eleaf istick 200w tc mod

The screen is clear and easy to read in any type of light condition and the buttons are large and easily accessible on the front as well.

The buttons are a little on the clicky side, and you have a large power button, up and down buttons as well as a dedicated mode button allowing you to switch between different modes quickly.eleaf istick 200w tc vape mod

There is also a USB slot present allowing you to charge the device as well as upgrade the firmware.

Overall, it’s big but it’s definitely a solid unit able to withstand heavy day to day usage.

How Does The Eleaf iStick 200W TC Mod Perform?

As per the name, there is 200w available for you to play with here making this one powerful unit.

That being said, it’s not solely designed as a high power device, and vaping at lower wattages will really reap the benefits from the three 18650 batteries giving you a huge amount of battery life.eleaf-istick 200w tc mod theorem tank

This is a key feature of the Eleaf iStick 200w TC and the battery life is outstanding, allowing you to go days in between changes, and this makes for an ideal out and about mod, if of course you are Ok with the size.

There is a very comprehensive temperature control mode as well, which allows you to use Ni200, Titanium and Stainless Steel wires in temperature control.

Advanced users are also able to input the TCR values of different individual wires enabling them to be used in temperature control too.

Temperature control I found to be on the whole very stable with the iStick 200wTC, and you get a really good vape. The firmware is also upgradable too allowing you to take advantage of future firmware updates from Eleaf.

What I Liked

This is one powerful device! Being able to output up to 200w means that this device can cater for pretty much anyone.

Battery life is outstanding. The three 18650 batteries mean that you go a long time in between battery charges, and the battery door means that you have quick access to the battery compartment.

It’s an easy to use, user friendly device and I’m a big fan of the dedicated mode button that is found on the front. This allows you to switch between the different modes quickly and easily without navigating through a complicated menu system.

Temperature control fans will really like this device. There is support for Ni200, Titanium and Stainless Steel out of the box, and you can manually input TCR values to use other wires in temperature control.

I found Temperature Control to be a much more stable experience than other iStick TC devices.

What I Didn’t Like

I can’t say I was a big fan of the looks. A triple 18650 device is always going to be big, I did think this was a little on the ugly side as well as heavy. I did also think the buttons were a little overly clicky as well.

Final Verdict

If you can get over the looks and of course the szie, the Eleaf iStick 200w TC is a great device. Offering a massive amount of battery life, as much power as you could possibly need as well as a great temperature control mode.

Being able to update the firmware means you can future proof the device meaning that this is a unit sure to stick around your collection for a long time.

Pros

  • Massive 200w of power
  • Support for Ni200, Titanium and SS wires as well as a manual TCR mode
  • Battery life is excellent
  • Clear and concise screen
  • Very user friendly
  • Battery cover works great in practice
  • Firmware upgradeable

Cons

  • Quite an ugly design
  • Very clicky buttons
  • Large unit and very heavy
  • Little uncomfortable in hand

Vaping full time since 2012, started on cigalikes for a while then curiosity got the better of me and I moved onto an vape pens, a month or two later I was seeing people walking around with these interesting shiny tubes and I thought 'I gotta get one of those'. Before I knew it a trip down to my local B&M got me my first VW mod, an Innokin SVD, paired with an iClear 30, and I was hooked. Soon after that I was jumping to VW mods both box and tube shaped, before I then made the jump to rebuilding and thus sub ohming, with my first RDA and mech mod. These days I've come back to convenience and mainly use pods, disposables and the VOOPOO Drag H40. Most importantly I am still loving vaping!

eleaf-istick-200w-tc-reviewThe Eleaf iStick 200W TC mod isn't going to be for everyone. If you have big hands and prefer power over portability then this could be a good choice.
