The Eleaf GTL Pod Tank Kit consists of the new GTL Pod Tank and the existing iStick T80 mod.
This is not exactly a pod kit but more like a sub ohm tank and box mod set up.
The tank is also available on its own.
What Is New For The Eleaf GTL Pod Tank Kit?
The mod is an existing design which was first released in 2019 in the T80 kit, but this time around there are new colours and it is paired with the brand new GTL Pod Tank.
A brief overview of the mod here – it has a 3000mAh internal battery with USB Type C charging and a variable wattage output of 1-80W.
Now looking at the GTL Pod Tank – the name really gives this away as it is a hybrid of a pod and a tank – strangely enough!
It functions as a tank with the 510 connector base, so it can be used on any mod with this standard connection.
It is also a pod as the 510 base is held magnetically onto the actual pod and is removed for coil access and refilling via the bottom fill port.
There are 2 versions of this tank – which version you get in the kit is dependent mainly on the area you are buying this kit from as the maximum permitted capacity in TPD regulated areas is 2ml.
- 4.5ml pod tank – this is designed more for Direct To Lung (DTL) or Restricted DTL vapers. The included coils are more suited to this tank being the 0.4ohm and 0.8ohm GTL coil.
- 2ml pod tank – this contains the 2ml pod tank which is more suited to Mouth To Lung (MTL) vapers. Again the coils are matched to this tank being 1.2ohm and 0.8ohm GTL coils.

The GTL coils are also compatible with the Pico Compaq and Glass Pen Kit.
On the tank base is the airflow adjustment ring and there are adjustments from a huge slot for DTL vaping to small holes for MTL vaping.
There are 3 colours to choose from: Gunmetal, Gradient Red and Gradient Aqua.

Seeing as the included mod has a 510 connector I cannot see the point of the removable pod section on the tank? Unless it will be compatible with models not yet released?
