Today we are looking at the latest range from EDGE E-liquid with a dive into the EDGE Desserts Bar Salts range!

What Can We Expect From The EDGE Desserts Bar Salts Range?
Primarily known for their fruity blends, EDGE have expanded their vast range of Bar Salts with a range of eight delicious desserts. Which makes a dessert lover like myself very happy indeed!
These have been inspired by popular sweet treats and classic desserts, so you can enjoy the taste of these flavours without having to worry about the calories!
Blended to a 50/50 VG/PG ratio these are ideal for use in a refillable pod system. 10mg and 20mg nicotine salt strengths are available. By using nicotine salt you can get your nicotine cravings satisfied quickly with a smooth throat hit to boot.
I tested these e-liquids in my ANYX Cobra with a fresh 0.4ohm pod. Plus my GeekVape Wenax Q Pro (review coming very soon!) with a 0.6ohm pod.
Before I get the review underway, I need to make you aware that this is based on my opinion only and my experiences vaping this range in my selected devices.
Your own experience may differ, as personal preferences and vaping setups used can affect your own perception of an e-liquid.

Cherry Bakewell
They say:

A Golden pastry base houses the rich vanilla icing combined with a sweet cherry and almond pairing and finished with a sweet glace candied cherry makes this vape juice one that’s been a hit with our team and we know it’ll be a hit with our customers!”
We say:
If you like the flavour of Marzipan then you’ll be sure to love this e-liquid. But I do appreciate that marzipan can be a bit of a ‘Marmite’ flavour for some. For example, my wife cannot stand the taste of it!
The almond flavouring is used to replicate the taste of marzipan and there is a lot of it here. It was far and away the most dominant flavour note that I picked up on. The cherry flavouring does well to get close to the taste of a Glace Cherry, but it definitely took a back seat to the marzipan in my opinion.
I wasn’t really picking up on any vanilla flavouring or a biscuit background texture to this like I have in some other Cherry Bakewell e-liquids that I have tried previously.
I do love the taste of marzipan but I would have liked to have picked up on a bit more cherry in this one. That being said I still found this to be a really tasty little vape.
Banana Caramel Waffle
They say:

A unique flavour combination for a vape liquid sees a creamy fruity banana flavour combined with a subtly sweet caramel, and these are both then paired together with a delicious cakey waffle flavour to make an overall exceptional vape juice flavour!”
We say:
Banana flavouring makes me shudder at the thought of it, as most of the time I get a Banana Foam Sweet taste from it – which is something I really don’t like! But…I was really surprised here!
This is much more like the actual fruit, with creamy banana notes and no horrible artificial banana taste. It’s not too strong either, combining really well with the caramel flavouring which just feels at home here, giving it a nice sugary and syrupy note.
I didn’t feel there was much to the waffle note, this was very subtle and sat right in the background. However, I was really impressed with Banana Caramel Waffle, which is a rarity for me with an e-liquid that contains banana. I would actually buy this again!
Vanilla Custard
They say:

We say:
Ah custard, a timeless vape classic. I have consistently vaped custard e-liquids ever since I first started vaping over ten years ago. Therefore I have run the gamut from the truly un-vapeable to complete liquid gold, so I do consider myself a custard connoisseur!
If you haven’t tried a custard e-liquid before, this one might be a good one to start off with.
It is straightforward vanilla custard as it should be served up, so it gives you a good idea of what vanilla custard e-liquid is all about. There’s subtle hints of vanilla and cream, with a thick custard taste.
Really not bad at all, it could just do with a touch more vanilla and cream! Though I’ll shut this one away in a drawer to allow it to steep, as custard is one of those e-liquids that just gets better with age…
Pink Glazed Doughnut
They say:
“Everyone is partial to a doughnut, whether that’s by the seaside or the more conventional glazed doughnut and now you can enjoy the best of both with this vape juice flavour!
Sweet and tangy raspberry and strawberry flavours will set your tastebuds alive when you first inhale, and you’ll then be greeted by that distinctive freshly fried doughnut flavour on the exhale.”
We say:
Everyone is partial to a Doughnut? Well I most definitely am, I do purchase and vape an awful lot of Doughnut e-liquids so you could say that I am a fan of them!
The strawberry and raspberry flavours are quite light on the inhale. They do taste a bit like the glazing you would taste on an actual pink glazed Doughnut, with a smidgen of what tastes like icing sugar as an undertone.
The doughnut flavouring was very light, certainly not as strong or as full on as some other doughnut e-liquids I’ve tried, but it was quite pleasant and did help to bring more authenticity to this blend.
Not a bad doughnut e-liquid, even if the overall flavour was a bit on the light and subtle side.
Strawberry Cheesecake
They say
“This cheesecake flavour is one for those who prefer a more ripe and sweeter tasting fruit flavour when it comes to cheesecake flavours.
Deliciously sweet and ripe strawberry flavour is combined with the creamy cheesecake to form the base and it’s then all combined with a rich and crumbly biscuit base to make a great tasting Strawberry Cheesecake flavour vape liquid!”
We say
Ah yes, another flavour that I have been vaping pretty much ever since I started!
I get strawberry on the inhale that tastes a little on the candied side, but also seems to have a bit of a syrupy texture to it.
The cheesecake element actually tasted more like meringue to me and I felt that it tasted more like some Eton Mess e-liquids I have tried! It’s creamy and sugary, rather than really thick and creamy and I didn’t really get any biscuit flavouring.
That being said, I really did enjoy vaping away on this one and felt that it was a delicious vape.
Blueberry Cheesecake

We say
This is absolutely banging, I loved it!
I actually picked up on the biscuit here. The cheesecake flavour note actually did taste like cheesecake, it’s very thick as well providing a realistic mouth feel.
The star of the show here is the blueberry flavouring for me. It’s really bold, syrupy and doesn’t hold back at all, yet still contrasts really well with the cheesecake flavouring.
A superbly blended blueberry cheesecake e-liquid packing a lot of flavour!
Apple Crumble
They say
“A classic dessert option after a traditional British Sunday roast dinner is now available for you to enjoy any day of the week, and not just after your dinner!
Bar Salts Apple Crumble will give your tastebuds a real treat as this is the perfect mix of golden crumbly biscuit, paired with a tart yet sweet apple flavour with a subtle hint of cinnamon on exhale.”
We say
Another absolute classic, EDGE are ticking all the boxes when it comes to classic British dessert flavours!
I get a gooey and syrupy Green Apple flavouring to start off. Much like the how the filling in an Apple Crumble is supposed to taste. With cinnamon and a pretty robust biscuity, pastry undertone running all the way through from start to finish.
The cinnamon was perhaps a touch too strong. I know it can be quite easy for cinnamon to overpower other flavourings if there is too much cinnamon concentrate. I’m quite sensitive to it as well!
Still, even with a bit of a strong cinnamon edge to it, this is a tasty apple crumble e-liquid!
Lemon Tart
They say

We say
I’m not too sure what was happening here!
Unfortunately, I got a really artificial, chemical taste from this and it reminded me of lemon washing up liquid… Which isn’t something I want in my mouth! I had a bitter aftertaste left in my mouth afterwards too which wasn’t very enjoyable.
I didn’t get any pastry at all either, which could have been a result of the really strong and artificial tasting lemon.
Not particularly pleasant I am afraid.
Final Review Verdict
Don’t let the budget price fool you, there are some absolute gems to be found here.
For me, both the Blueberry and Strawberry Cheesecake and the Apple Crumble are ones I would happily buy again. These were real quality e-liquids with blending that is up there with some of the best!
These are absolutely great for pod systems as well. The flavour is very smooth for the most part, the 20mg nicotine strength that I was sent really hit the spot. I also noticed that these didn’t clog up my coils with sweetener either, meaning you’ll get more lifespan from your pod.
If you love a dessert e-liquid and you are on a budget, then you can’t really go wrong with this range from EDGE. A few of these are up there with e-liquids that cost more money.
Some top desserts here at a price that won’t break the bank!
