Drip Hacks is a UK based company and specialize in in house e-liquids and has a thriving and extremely popular DIY vape juice section.
I said it’s an award winning company and it has indeed won the EcigClick awards for both best value and it’s DIY e-liquid section.
I can see just from the price range why Drip Hacks was voted best value – a fiver for a 60ml shortfill bottle with a FREE nic shot?!?
Wow…what’s the catch!

What Can We Expect From the Drip Hacks Shortfills?
There’s a total of 24 flavours currently on the website.
I’ve received 12 and will be reviewing 8 for now – the rest to follow later.

OK, the Drip Hacks Shortfills are a 70/30 VG/PG mix – perfect for your drippers and sub ohm tanks and rebuildables.
The shortfills were kindly sent to me direct from Drip Hacks – thank you – and as always my thoughts and opinions are not swayed by freebies.
For the taste test I used by go to dripper, the Augvape BTFC – freshly wicked every time.

Drip Hacks Shortfills – ButterBoy 70/30 PG/VG
An incredibly rich Butterscotch custard with notes of vanilla and meringue.
I say:
I bloody love butterscotch but had never tried an e-liquid flavour…until now.
One word…
WOW!
I have a weakness for Werther’s Originals and this delicious vape juice tastes exactly like those moreish sweets.
I thought this may have been a bit too sweet for me, but the balance is perfect.
That butterscotch cuts through the creamy vanilla and the meringue with the merest hint of salt.
Lovely stuff!
Drip Hacks Shortfills – Blue Slush 70/30 PG/VG
Drip Hacks Say:
A ripe blue raspberry candy slush, Sweet, just like the real thing.
I Say:
Fantastic smell from the bottle promising a really sharp tanginess.
The inhale is promising, however my taste buds were crying for a bit more oomph.
Yes you can tell it’s a blue raspberry, and yes the coolant isn’t so over powering, it just feels a touch under flavoured.
Just a touch more flavour would lift this one – it is ideal as an all day vape particularly as it isn’t overly strong.
Drip Hacks Shortfills – Acid Drop 70/30 PG/VG
Drip Hacks Say:
A luscious fruit blend of kiwi, grapefruit, woodland fruits and melons with a refreshing touch of koolada.
I Say:
Apart from the coolada, this one sounds bang on my preferred flavour profile.
It’s an amazing aroma from the bottle with lots of fruits vying for position.
A very complex inhale that’s a little on the sweet side for me and the coolant arrives very early.
I can’t pick out individual fruit flavours it’s more of a cocktail.
But that coolada seems to build and build…
A very refreshing exhale, dial down the coolant and sweetners a little and I’d like it a lot more.
Drip Hacks Shortfills – Blood Of Vikings 70/30 PG/VG

Another staple of the Drip Hacks family, this deliciously rich rhubarb and custard will leave you wanting more!
I Say:
I always like the idea of a rhubarb and custard vape, but as yet haven’t found one I can get on with.
Opening the bottle and the smell is all about the custard, however, there is the tiniest hint of the sharp fruit…is rhubarb a fruit..?
The custard is very pronounced on the inhale, but hitting your tonsils and the sharpness of the rhubarb arrives.
That slightly sour tangy freshness grows as you exhale making a really nicely balanced sweet and almost sour vape.
Loved this one and I don’t have a sweet vape tooth!
Drip Hacks Shortfills – Cremeux 70/30 PG/VG

A luxurious, sweet and rich vanilla custard. To die for.
I Say:
Not a big fan of custard vapes if I’m honest…they all seem a bit too rich to me.
I’m getting a real whiff of caramel from the bottle and maybe a hint of brown sugar…
My mind is saying creme brulee and I bloody love that dessert…but as a vape?
Your mouth is filled with plenty of sweet vapour and the vanilla isn’t at all overpowering.
It is a little sweet and rich for my taste buds, but I may drip this after dinner to stop eating desserts.
Definitely a must try for the custard e-liquid lovers out there.
Drip Hacks Shortfills – Heizen Blezzard 70/30 PG/VG

An absolute favourite, this flavour is a blend of delectable fruits with an aniseed and koolada sensation.
I Say:
As regular readers know, I’m not the biggest fan of menthol flavoured e-liquids.
However of late there’s a few that have tickled my taste buds – might be old age and a changing palate.
The smell from this one is bloody lovely – very fresh and more sweet mint than menthol.
WOW!
This one has literally blown my socks off!
A lovely fresh minty flavour that cleans the palate just like those breath freshening Extra chewing gums I enjoy.
I keep a packet of those on me in case of the chance of a snog…better check the sell by date it’s been that long 😉
The aniseed is a magical touch and adds another deep flavoursome dimension.
Get me liking ‘icy vapes’ all of a sudden!
Drip Hacks Shortfills – Cryo Grape 70/30 PG/VG
Drip Hacks Say:
An ice cold, ripe and sweet grape drink flavour. Probably the coldest of our Cryogenic range, not for the faint of heart.
I Say:
Just as I mention icy – here comes one to test my new found vape juice taste for all things ice lol.
Not at all keen on the smell of this one…
There’s a very strange perfume to it that I can’t put my finger on.
Nope – sorry, this one doesn’t do it for me at all.
That perfume grows in the mouth and not even a whack of an arctic blast can wash it away.
Not sure what else to say other than icy grape lovers might enjoy it more.
Took a while to get that perfume taste out of my mouth too.
Drip Hacks Shortfills – The One Who Knocks 70/30 PG/VG

This is a perfect blend of delectable fruits with a hint of aniseed. An all-round favourite in the vaping community.
I Say:
Intriguing name for a vape juice – so is this one knocking on the door of my taste buds?
The smell is all about the aniseed with a hint of fruit underneath.
The inhale reminds me of eating a couple of old school sweets together – a fruit salad and a blackjack [showing my age there lol].
I actually found myself vaping on this a lot longer than even the ButterBoy!
A very moreish flavour indeed and a tasty twist on a fruit vape.
Drip Hacks Shortfills – Cherry Winter 70/30 PG/VG

A sweet blend of Cherry and Fruit with a menthol throat hit, just like a cough sweet.
Don’t miss out on this old favourite!
I Say:
Yup…smells like those Cherry Tunes cough sweets…but does it taste like them?
In a word – yes and it’s a BIG yes!
The sweetness of the fruit barely has a second to register before that cold blast of menthol arrives.
I say cold – there’s a real heat to this one too!
Great tickle to the throat and exhale brings back the sweetness of the cherry.
Very clever blending.
Drip Hacks Shortfills – Cryo Mango 70/30 PG/VG

Our perfectly sweet and natural Mango with a powerful Koolada hit, this is a must have!
If you haven’t tried it, you’re in for a treat!
I Say:
The clue – as always is in the name…
This is icy mango [get me stating the obvious lol].
I’m not getting much of a mango smell from the bottle in fact it’s strangely giving me a chemical coconut vibe…
The inhale again gives a hint of coconut…and again the coolant arrives very early and builds on the back of the throat.
Still not getting any mango on the exhale and the coolant battles with the overpowering sweeteners…
Nope…not for me.
Note: there is a none Cryo mango version…

I Say:
All sounds good for my palate until they mention bloody koolada…
What is it with e-liquid companies assuming we all love that icy kick?
It gets me a little hot ‘n bothered if I’m honest…
Anyway…
Another slightly chemical smell from the bottle – guess that’s the Koolada WS-23.
For a moment the fruits actually taste fresh rather than candied.
However the sweeteners soon kick in and whilst the coolant is there it’s dialed back a little.
The exhale is far too sweet for my palate.
Drip Hacks Shortfills – Smashberry 70/30 PG/VG
Drip Hacks Say:
Note: I can’t find the shortfill version – only the Hack Shot.
This flavour is a delightful Fruit cordial blend, sweet yet powerful.
An old favourite with many of our customers.
I Say:
A promising smell of fruitiness once the top’s whipped off.
It’s threatening to be a little too sweet on the inhale and feels a little ‘sticky’ on the tonsils.
The lack of coolant should mean this is right up my street…
However, those sweeteners swamp the fruit leaving a bit of a gloopy sugary after taste.
Far to sweet and rich for me.
Final Review Verdict
Of the flavours I’ve tried most of them are pretty good….
The updated last 4 not so much – thought the Cherry Winter is a very clever piece of blending, just not to my taste.
What stands out to me is the value – they’re practically giving them away!
I mean where else can you find 60mls of e-liquid with a FREE nic shot for just a fiver!
Little wonder Drip Hacks has won the EcigClick Award for best value!
It’s also won the best DIY supplier too – again amazing value products.
Drip Hacks really does have a solid and growing fan base, you only have to look at the customer reviews to see that.
If there’s a flavour profile that tempts you I’d highly recommend giving it/them a go.
