The Dovpo M VV II mod is the second edition of the back to basics M VV mod.
This is a regulated mod – you have some control over the output and also lots of protection features but with the simplicity of a mechanical mod. I tell you all about the different types of mod in my guide to Mechanical V Regulated mods.
The back to basics approach harks back to the days of early box mods where people started adding potentiometers to simple mech mods to vary the output. A potentiometer is a variable resistor to restrict the output to levels you choose.
Both versions of the M VV have a potentiometer and you can adjust between 1 and 8V output.
Obviously the actual output will depend on your battery performance and the coil you have installed.
Talking of batteries you will need 2×18650 batteries which are not included. You access the battery compartment via the removable side panel.
Even though this has a simple voltage control you still get an LED indicator to display the battery capacity remaining.
There are inbuilt protections to help keep you safe – but as always make sure you are clued up on Battery Safety and Ohms law to get the best performance.
The protections available are:
- Low voltage
- Overheat
- Overtime (prevents overheating when fire button held down for extended periods)
- Polarity (if batteries incorrectly installed)
There are 3 styles to choose from: Hannya, Dragon Samurai and Skull & Roses.
