I have the full range of Doozy Mix Salts e-liquid in for review.
Previous e-liquids from Doozy that we have reviewed include the Short Fill Temptations range and the Tropix range.
I am also reviewing the Serious Bar Salts range too – so keep an eye out for that review!
Doozy were created in 2015 and now have a global footprint across 6 continents.
They are a family run business who “strive to ensure we produce the very best flavours”.
Also they have invested in renewable energy and say their products are 100% recyclable.
They are based in the UK and create fully TPD compliant e-liquids. Doozy use ISO 9000 and MHRA registered laboratories. Full traceability from raw materials right down to the retailer is something they are proud of.
No harmful materials are used in production and they can supply full toxicology reports on all their products.
What Can We Expect From The Doozy Mix Salts E-liquid Range?
The Doozy Mix Salts range consist of blended flavours which should appeal to most vapers!
As most of us know, the key to successfully quitting smoking lies in 2 things, the vape device and the e-liquid. If either are bad it can put you off vaping and back to the yukky ciggies.
So fingers, legs and eyes crossed that the Mix Salts range are packed with flavour!
Thank you to Vape Club for sending these over for review! I will report back honestly on my findings from the e-liquids provided.
As always taste is subjective, plus the type of equipment you use will cause results to vary. So use my review as a guide. I will try and focus on how well the flavours meet the descriptions.
These come in TPD Compliant 10ml bottles with either 5mg, 10mg or 20mg Nicotine Salt strengths.
The e-liquid mix ratio is 50%PG / 50%VG which is more suitable for low power kits. This mix is too thin for higher power kits and may cause leaks and spitting.
I will be using my Geekvape Ammit MTL RDA with clean cotton for each flavour.
Packaging
Each bottle comes in a sealed box and the bottle has a tamperproof and childproof cap.
On the cap the e-liquid expiry date is clearly labelled.
Also you will find the PG / VG ratio, Nicotine strength, applicable warnings and full ingredients printed on the box.
Bubblegum
Doozy Says:
“Doozy Mix Salts Bubblegum Nic Salt E-liquid. There’s only one Pink Bubbly that comes to mind. The distinct Bubbly Flavour takes you back to the Tuck Shop days. A True All Time Classic.”
I Say…
If I had a building filled with every e-liquid flavour ever created, I would always pick a Bubblegum flavour. It is what got me finally off cigarettes and after 4 years I still haven’t tired of it. So of course this was the first flavour I would try!
Sniffing the open bottle it gives me the scent of the flavour I crave – so fingers crossed this delivers!
This version is not as sweet as I am used to but wow – you actually get the texture of the hard sheet of gum with the white powder on the outside. It is creamy in a weird sort of way.
The best way to describe it is with one image…
Yes – Wrigleys Juicy Fruit Gum! Delicious!
Mixed Berries
Doozy Says:
“Doozy Mix Salts Mixed Berries Nic Salt E-liquid. A concoction of Tangy Berries and Sweet Grape with a slightly sour edge. A real treat for all Berry lovers.”
I Say…
The smell of this is very berry which bodes well!
I admit to being slightly worried about the Grape aspect but it might work when blended with another flavour – I am not a Grape Vape fan!
This is definitely in the sour category but not too sour to suck my pants up my bum! The sweetness of the berries just reins it back from making your eyes roll.
I have a mega sweet tooth so this is a bit too sour for me but it does give a well-rounded berry flavour with the Grape to freshen and add the sour notes.
This is not a flavour I would choose due to the sourness, but it is a lot better than I was expecting and the Grape and Berries do enhance each other to create a balance.
Very impressed!
Sour Blue Raspberry Apple
Doozy Says:
“Doozy Mix Salts Sour Blue Raspberry Apple – A Mix of Juicy Red and Blue Raspberries with a Sour Apple Twist. The Taste of Sweet Berries and the Sour Apple is a tantalising combination.”
I Say…
If this tastes how it smells then the Apple and Raspberry boxes are truly ticked!
I am not sure on the combination here. Something just doesn’t harmonise.
I can taste the Apple for sure, then a very sour flavour heads through on the exhale.
There is Raspberry but it is a very very sour Raspberry which along with the sour Apple makes me wince a bit. It all goes a bit “Detergent-y”.
These two flavours are a bit jarring when together. Individually – despite being too sour for me – I think they would work as they are both fruit flavours I like. But in this case it is two sour flavours competing for dominance and almost fighting to get the most attention. Neither of them win, one gets knocked backwards and comes back kicking off again at the other.
Very strange blending here. I think one of the fruits needs to be sweeter to get total balance rather than them both clashing.
Gummy Bear
Doozy Says:
“Doozy Mix Salts Gummy Bear Nic Salt E-liquid. We all Love the Yummy Green and Yellow Bears. We couldn’t resist mixing the Candy Apple and Mixed Fruits to form this amazing flavour.”
I Say…
The description infers this will be a medley of flavours and when sniffing the open bottle – that is the case! I can’t pick out a particularly dominant fruit.
This is quite unusual. It has a very synthetic perfumey flavour.
It feels like a mixture of Apple and Pear.
This is a bit sweeter than I was expecting, but there is a weird back note which is almost Shampoo like? I assume that might be a Grape influence lurking around?
I quite like the blending as there definitely is a mixture of different things going on and you seem to pick up different layers with each vape.
Do I enjoy it? Well it’s hard to say really! Whilst the flavour is not my cup of tea, the surprise factor of different fruits popping up keeps it very interesting.
However the Perfume / Shampoo vibes might be off putting for some and it does taste synthetic.
Pink Lemonade
Doozy Says:
“Doozy Mix Salts Pink Lemonade Nic Salt E-liquid. An amazing burst of Fizzy Lemon with a Sweet Centre and a dash of Tangy Grapefruit. This Citrus Concoction is amazing!”
I Say…
Usually I love Pink Lemonade flavours where the Lemonade is mixed with Red fruits such as Strawberry, Raspberry or Cranberry.
However Doozy have thrown a twist into the mix by using Grapefruit. Not a combination I have experienced before?
The result is a very fruity and refreshing flavour but it really isn’t for me.
A strong Lemon dominates, which isn’t giving off the “Fizz” I have got from some excellent Pink Lemonade e-liquids, so it is like a flat Lemonade.
It gets even more tangy when the Grapefruit kicks in and the result is quite a sour vape.
Not for a sweet tooth vaper like me, but if you like a tangy sour vape this should be right up your street. Marks deducted for the lack of fizz and it doesn’t live up to the “sweet centre” in the description.
Cream Tobacco
Doozy Says:
“Doozy Mix Salts Cream Tobacco Nic Salt E-liquid. A Smooth Creamy Tobacco Blend, with a Sweet edge making this Exquisite Flavour hard to resist.”
I Say…
I have never been a fan of Tobacco flavour e-liquids!
When I first tried vaping in 2012 (with my trusty E-go Twist) the only flavours around were Tobacco and Menthol – and I hated them both and gave up with vaping until 2016.
I have found a few decent Tobacco flavours in the past few years – but they are few and far between.
Thankfully the Doozy Mix Salts version smells of Caramel – (the old Tobacco flavours used to stink of chemicals) – so this is looking promising!
This still has the “Ashtray” backnote which you find in a lot of Tobacco e-liquids but the addition of the Caramel really brings it to life.
I am so so pleased with Doozy for elevating this from tasting like Ash up to a Toffee like Tobacco – it works an absolute blummin treat!
So if you want to try vaping and looking for a decent rendition of Tobacco, please give this one a try – it really is one of the better versions out there!
Doozy Mix Salts E-liquid Final Review Verdict
In general this is a pretty good range of e-liquids.
You get plenty of flavour – not horribly diluted like some e-liquids. It could compete with a disposable vape any day in the right equipment – such as the OXVA Xlim range, Uwell Caliburn range or Voopoo Argus pod kits.
One or two had clashing flavours which didn’t work but the rest really gave what the description promised. I was gobsmacked how brilliant the Smooth Tobacco flavour was – rare for any brand to get Tobacco right!
I think back to 2012 and how e-liquid was £9.99 for 10ml and the only flavours (Menthol and Tobacco) were horrific. Look how far we have come – there are so many delicious flavours now to get anyone away from smoking.
Well done Doozy you have played a part in bringing delicious vapes to everyone!
