What Can We Expect From The Dojo Vape Dojo Blast 6000 Kit?

It is a TPD-Compliant ‘big puff’ vaping kit powered by Vaporesso! The Dojo Blast 6000 is more of a pre-filled pod system than a big puff disposable vape. You can purchase the pre-filled pods and e-liquid containers so that you can continue to reuse the device, making it an environmentally friendly option!

‘Blast’ in the name comes from the blast of flavour delivered by these kits. The Turbo mode option providing an extra boost of power to the Corex 2.0 mesh coils to further elevate the intense flavour and dense vapour.

dojo blast pod and mod

As you might have guessed by now, ‘6000’ is the number of puffs you can get up to from one of these devices. The Dojo Blast 6000 kits come with a 2ml pre-filled pod and a 10ml pre-filled e-liquid container giving you plenty of vaping!

A robust 650mAh battery is built into the device, that can be recharged via USB-C.

There’s a large range of different flavours to pick from, with each one coming in 20mg nicotine salt strength. Nicotine salt is used to provide a satisfying nicotine hit with a smooth throat hit that is less harsh than high strength traditional freebase nicotine.

Dojo Blast 6000 kits come in six premium metallic colours and these are Green, Gold, Blue, Red, Purple and Silver.dojo blast colours

Design & Build Quality

The kits measure in at 25.1mm x 42.6mm x 94.55mm and are fairly lightweight at 79g.

In terms of features, you’ve got a clear LED screen that allows you to see how much battery life you have left at a glance. Also it displays whether the device is in normal or turbo mode.

There’s a button at the bottom of the device that allows you to switch between normal and turbo mode. Next to that is the USB Type-C charging port.

They are quite minimalist and stylish in appearance. I do like the looks of these kits!

Having rounded edges makes them comfortable to hold in the hand, but they do take up a fair amount of pocket space.

Quick Start Guide

Dojo Blast 6000 kits come in three parts out of the box and you do need to put it all together before you begin to use the device.

  • To begin, you need to remove the Red silicon cover from the top of the pod and the stickers from the bases of the pod and refill container.
  • Click the pod into the base of the refill container then slot this into the device.

It’s very easy to do and takes no time at all.

The refill container actually sits on top of the pod. This contains 10ml of e-liquid which feeds downwards into the pod which has a 2ml capacity. It is pre-filled with 2ml of e-liquid and contains the Corex 2.0 mesh coil which is fixed into the pod and can’t be replaced.

Once you’ve used up the pod and refill container, simply dispose of them and replace with a new one. You don’t need to throw the device away, you can keep hold of it and reuse it!

dojo blast pod battery

This is an auto-draw device, so there is no power button, just puff away.

The airflow is fixed for a mouth to lung vape.

You can increase the power to the coil by using the button at the base of the device to switch from normal mode to turbo mode.

dojo blast modes

You don’t get a USB-C charging cable supplied with the device, so if you don’t own one you will need to purchase one separately.

The device charges at a 1A charging rate.

Flavours

Judging by the Dojo Vape website, there’s an absolutely huge range of different flavours available for the Dojo Blast 6000. But in the UK there looks like there will be around 14 flavours available at launch so some of the flavours on the website (such as Breakfast Tea) may be specific to certain regions.

The flavours available in the UK (from looking around a few vendors that have the Dojo Blast 6000 available for pre-order) are:

  • Blue Razz Lemonade
  • Blueberry Ice
  • Blueberry Sour Raspberry
  • Double Apple
  • Fizzy Cherry
  • Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava
  • Lemon & Lime
  • Menthol
  • Peanut Chocolate
  • Pineapple Ice
  • Straw-Raspberry Cherry
  • Sweet Grape
  • Ten Tangerines
  • Watermelon Ice

On their website Dojo Vape also state that refill pods will be available to purchase separately. That is a big plus point for this device, as you’ll be able to reuse it and won’t need to throw it away once you’ve used up all of the E-Liquid in the included pod. This is a major bugbear of mine with other big puff pod systems.

Dojo Vape kindly sent me two flavours to try out and here’s my thoughts on them..

Straw-Raspberry Cherry Ice

straw raspberry cherry ice dojo blastThere’s some delicious, natural and authentic tasting flavour on offer with Straw-Raspberry Cherry Ice and it tastes quite thick and syrupy but less sweet than I would expect it to. I’m certainly not left with a coating of sweetener on my tongue afterwards.

In fact, I’d hazard a guess that there might be some input from the Vaporesso Deliciu team when it comes to the blending of this e-liquid, as those e-liquids prided themselves on the fact they use minimal sweetener to allow the natural flavourings to shine…

A raspberry and strawberry blend comes in on the inhale before the rich, dark cherry flavour begins to take over, then I get a subtle hint of cooling coming in. I felt that this had quite a thick, jam-like mouthfeel to it which I quite enjoyed!

The ice element isn’t quite as strong as I would like it to be. In fact I found that I had to take a pretty deep and hard draw on my kit just to bring it out. But other than that, this is a pretty damn pleasant fruity vape!

Blueberry Sour Raspberry

dojo blast blueberry sour raspberryAgain, much like the Straw-Raspberry Cherry Ice, this really does taste like a Deliciu styled vape, in fact I would say that it is pretty damn close to the Deliciu version that I reviewed previously in the year!

It’s another one that features quite thick, syrupy, almost jam-like flavour. There is a reduced amount of sweetener which allows the natural blueberry and raspberry flavours to really shine through. It certainly tastes different to disposable blueberry sour raspberry versions!

There’s a tasty mixture of authentic tasting blueberry and raspberry on the inhale and these taste quite like the fruits rather than an artificial candy version of them. I get the sourness right at the end on the tip of my tongue.

It’s got a little hint of sourness to it, but certainly nothing that feels like it would melt your face off!

All in all, this is a very tasty flavour and one that I enjoyed vaping on a lot.

Device Performance

Where a lot of other big puff kits have the coil built into the device (meaning you need to throw the whole kit away once you’ve finished the e-liquid), the Dojo Blast 6000 has a Vaporesso Corex 2.0 coil located inside the pod.

So you can simply replace the pod and refill container once finished and continue to re-use the device.

vaporesso dojo blast

That gets big brownie points for sustainability and essentially means that you’ve got yourself a cheap pod kit.

If you only vape pre-filled pods or disposable vapes, then this will be a really good option to consider.

In terms of the vape, the Dojo Blast 6000 has fixed airflow and delivers a mouth-to-lung vape. If you aren’t sure what that means then check out our guide to vaping styles!

mouthpiece

In normal mode, I get a smooth mouth to lung airflow ideal for taking long and slow draws.

There’s fairly reasonable vapour production too. Using turbo mode intensifies the flavour and increases the vapour production too, producing some pretty thick and dense clouds.

A 650mAh battery is built into the device, but you are going to want to run this in normal mode to get a full day’s worth of vaping out of it if you vape quite heavily.

Turbo mode uses an increased amount of power and as such, it will reduce the battery life.

Puff Count

Dojo Vape state that you can get up to 6000 puffs from the pre-filled 2ml pod and 10ml refill container. Though this will vary depending on whether you are using the device in normal or turbo mode and how long you take a draw on the device for.

dojo blast vape pod

Your mileage may vary!

To test this out, I vaped the Straw-Raspberry Cherry Ice virtually primarily in Turbo mode and the Blueberry Sour Raspberry in normal mode.

Vaping in turbo mode got me 3,812 puffs. I expected the puff count to be lower than what the manufacturer has stated due to the increased power being delivered to the coil.

Normal mode got me 5,039 puffs and I was taking longer draws due to the reduced amount of power compared to turbo mode. So that is reasonably close to the manufacturers claim.

Pros

  • Reusable kit, refill pods available to purchase separately
  • 12ml of e-liquid giving you plenty of puffs
  • Easy to use kit
  • Rechargeable battery
  • More flavoursome than a regular disposable vape

Cons

  • Boost mode is required to really get the most out of the flavours
  • Fixed airflow
  • Not the longest battery life.

Final Verdict

I’ve only tried out two of the flavours from this range, so I’ve barely scratched the surface here. But they were both promising enough to get me interested in trying more of them out.

The Peanut Chocolate flavour is especially taking my fancy and I might have to order one of those once they become available in the UK!

To me, one of the big selling points of this device is the ability to re-use it. Most ‘big puff’ kits I’ve encountered don’t have the ability to purchase separate pods for them, so they need to be thrown away once the e-liquid is used up.

Not so here, as you can purchase pods and pre-filled containers, so you can continue to use this device for quite some time.

Also, it’s a very user friendly set up, you can get vaping with one of these kits in no time at all. It takes the fuss out of vaping and offers a very convenient vape. Simply puff away without needing to mess about with any settings!

At present I can’t see how much these will cost in the UK as most vendors that have them listed for pre-order aren’t currently listing a price. I would hazard a guess that these would be available at a price point around £12, which would represent great value for money for a reusable system.

Even with the device and the included 12ml worth of e-liquid in total you would be far better off with a device like this instead of a throwaway disposable vape!

Vaping full time since 2012, started on cigalikes for a while then curiosity got the better of me and I moved onto an vape pens, a month or two later I was seeing people walking around with these interesting shiny tubes and I thought 'I gotta get one of those'. Before I knew it a trip down to my local B&M got me my first VW mod, an Innokin SVD, paired with an iClear 30, and I was hooked. Soon after that I was jumping to VW mods both box and tube shaped, before I then made the jump to rebuilding and thus sub ohming, with my first RDA and mech mod. These days I've come back to convenience and mainly use pods, disposables and the VOOPOO Drag H40. Most importantly I am still loving vaping!
