Dispergo are back again with a fruity e-liquid release called Unreal 2.
We’re a little late to the party with this one (my fault!) because they have recently announced Unreal 3! (A review will be coming soon for that range!)
Presumably there was also an Unreal 1 previously?
Dispergo are well known for being the originators behind many great flavours and ranges, including the wonderful Fugu that I reviewed recently.
What Can We Expect From Dispergo Unreal 2 E-liquid?
We’ve reviewed quite a few e-liquids from Dispergo over the years, and it seems like they have something to fit almost every palate.
Dispergo were founded in 2019 off the huge success of Jack Rabbit Vapes, which has since expanded to include the Rachael Rabbit range which I reviewed and really enjoyed.
On their website they say that:
Dispergo Vaping was created in an effort to bring stores across the UK closer together, by working with stores to create bespoke flavours and brands to suit the stores needs. Also allowing stores to stock each other’s brands and encouraging cooperation by stocking exclusive, high quality, compliant, great tasting, great looking products that customers will love.
From their output so far, I’d say they’re definitely winning with great tasting and great looking products!
Dispergo also manufacture all their products in the UK – in Oxfordshire to be exact!
The Unreal 2 range that I have in today are pretty simple, 2 fruits per flavour. Judging by previous ranges from Dispergo I’m expecting these to be very well blended together.
They come in 100ml shortfill bottles, to allow you to add your own nicotine shots. With a ratio of 70/30 VG/PG.
For testing equipment I’m using the Pyro V3 RDTA, freshly wicked for each e-liquid.
Lemon & Raspberry – 0mg 70/30 VG PG
Dispergo Say:
“A luscious blend of zesty Lemons and juicy Raspberries. Sweet & juicy with a twist”
I Say:
Right off the bat, there’s not a lot of smell coming off this one. Mostly I can detect sweetness.
On the knuckle though, you start to taste what it might be capable of. There’s a strong lemony vibe here!
Gotta say, that this is quite a surprising vape. I’m not sure I’ve ever had Lemon and Raspberry paired together… but it works!
Right on the inhale you get a load of Raspberry sweetness, if anything it’s a little too sweet for me. Tastes more like candy than the actual fruit.
But the Lemon follows up quite quickly and balances the sweetness somewhat. However even with the Lemon, it’s still quite a sweet vape.
Finally you’re left with the lingering sweet Raspberry. It’s not unpleasant, but it’s definitely more of a “candy flavour” than pure fruit. So if you like that, you’ll probably enjoy this!
Pineapple & Passionfruit – 0mg 70/30 VG PG
Dispergo Say:
“A delicious exotic blend of tropical Pineapple and sweet Passionfruit”
I Say:
Smelling this is like a tropical explosion! Pineapple and Passionfruit is very strong!
The knuckle test is similarly full bodied, strong Pineapple and Passionfruit, and again quite a sweet flavour. But tasting it on the knuckle can only tell you so much, so on to the vape.
This is another interesting combination, though Passionfruit and Pineapple is a little more traditional. It’s definitely a tropical taste.
At the beginning you get Pineapple first, sweet, but not overpoweringly so. Instead it feels really juicy.
The Passionfruit fills out the flavour profile next, gives it far more depth and body. Still quite sugary, but more fruit heavy.
Pineapple comes through at the end and it dries everything out nicely, it finishes the vape with a slight tang.
It’s still quite a sweet vape, so again bear this in mind.
Strawberry & Peach – 0mg 70/30 VG PG
Dispergo Say:
“A juicy medley of fresh, sweet Strawberries and ripe, tangy Peaches”
I Say:
I thought the previous ones smelt sweet, but this is something else! Not really a surprise considering the flavours. Strawberry is the dominant flavour.
Testing it on the knuckle and you can feel the body of the Peach being there as well.
On the inhale you’ve got Strawberry first. It feels like one of those squidgy Strawberry sweets. More Strawberry taste than “tasting like Strawberries”.
As you exhale the Peach rounds things out, whilst I was hoping for some of the tanginess that we got with the Lemon and Raspberry I’m left wanting. Instead it just mellows everything out more.
It’s got a very soft mouthfeel, despite their talk of “tangy Peaches”. So definitely an easy going vape this one.
Passionfruit & Grapefruit – 0mg 70/30 VG PG
Dispergo Say:
“A delicious mix of exotic Passionfruit and juicy Grapefruit with a hint of tart. This flavour is a tastebud tingler”
I Say:
I can definitely smell the Grapefruit coming off from this one, not much else yet.
Tasting it on the knuckle you can taste the Passionfruit, though it’s feels like it’s going to be a more fruity taste than the Pineapple and Passionfruit.
Right from the outset you can get the Grapefruit, but it’s almost just in your nose! Interestingly the Passionfruit is definitely the body of this one.
The Grapefruit gives a dry, tangy taste to the vape. On the exhale it’s still full of the sweet luscious Passionfruit, but that Grapefruit stops it from being overwhelming.
It reminds me a lot of the Raspberry and Lemon from earlier, it’s got that sweet and sour thing going on and it’s definitely a winner.
it’s probably my favourite of the 4, not quite as sugary as some of the previous flavours, but still quite a candy-ish taste, rather than real fruit juice.
Dispergo Unreal 2 E-Liquid – Final Verdict
So what did I think of the Unreal 2 range from Dispergo?
Generally I liked all of them, there wasn’t a flavour here that I thought was bad, or where the combination didn’t really work. They’re certainly not especially challenging tastes, all of them are on the sweet and fruity end of the scale.
I did find that all four of the flavours tasted more like kids candy than actual fruit though, I can only imagine this was intentional as I know from experience that Dispergo can produce flavours that make you think you’ve just taken a bite out of the fruit in question!
So if you’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth, like fruit flavours and want to try some interesting pairings, you would be hard pressed to go wrong with these!
