The new Dinner Lady Disposable Vape Pens I received for review came in two strengths – 30mg and 50mg nicotine respectively. Since writing this they are now also available in TPD compliant nic strengths so can also be purchased in the UK.
Whilst America still clings on to the higher nic strengths – disposable flavoured vape and pod kits are now banned.
Here in the UK and Europe we have a 20mg nicotine cap whilst in Russia there’s a 50mg limit but that is under review.
OK, the new disposable vape pens come in 9 different flavours and Dinner Lady has kindly sent me them all in a very nice presentation box – thank you for that.
What Can We Expect From the Dinner Lady Disposable Vape Pen?
As the name suggests these are single use throwaway when empty or the battery drains vape pens.
There’s a total of 9 flavours taken from the Dinner Lady nic salts range and each pen has a 300mAH internal battery.
The vape pens are coloured in line with the individual flavours are slim – discreet and really quite smartly designed.
There are x2 nicotine strengths 30mg and 50mg and I received the lower level.
Each vape pen should give you up to 400 puffs – I’m afraid I lost count on the actual number of puffs I took.
The colours are all kind of metallic and really do look very classy indeed and not at all plasticcy or cheap looking.
They’re ready to use outside the box – simply remove the two protective caps from the top and bottom.
There’s no fire button – simply inhale through the large hole 🙂
OK, let’s put them to the taste test:
Dinner Lady Disposable Vape Pens – Strawberry Mac 30mg
Dinner Lady Says:
Strawberries with a butter biscuit crust; notes of cream.
I Say:
A very nice hint of sweet strawberries on the inhale and despite the 30mg nicotine and because this is a nic salt – there’s barely a throat hit at all.
I really struggled to pick up on any butter biscuit or cream until I exhaled through my nose.
Then it really did come together – a very nice smooth vape perfectly balanced for my not so sweet tooth.
Dinner Lady Disposable Vape Pens – Bubble Gum Ice 30mg
Dinner Lady Says:
Bubblegum and koolada.
I Say:
Wow! This really does smell like a sweet yet minty bubblegum.
I’m not big on mint or menthol vapes – however this one has really tickled my taste buds.
I truly lovely old school gummy vibe with a refreshing moreish mint on the exhale.
Not one for a brain freeze but very nice indeed.
Dinner Lady Disposable Vape Pens – Lemon Sherbets Ice 30mg
Sweet and sour sherbert with koolada.
I Say:
Here’s another WoW!
This one is bang on the money – from the smell to the inhale right through to the exhale.
If you like those old fashioned sherbet lemon sweets with a hint of mint – you’re gonna love this one.
Another perfectly balanced not to sweet not to sour and not to minty treat.
Love it!
Dinner Lady Disposable Vape Pens – Strawberry Ice 30mg
Dinner Lady Says:
Strawberries, koolada and notes of citrus.
I Say:
For me this one isn’t quite as tasty as the ones I’ve tried so far.
The strawberry and come to that the citrus is dare I say more than a little muted.
The koolada or ice effect washes in but literally washes the flavours away.
OK for those vapers that prefer a less punchy flavour I guess.
Dinner Lady Disposable Vape Pens – Citrus Ice
I Say:
I couldn’t find any flavour notes for this one – however it doesn’t take a genius to work out what it should be!
OK, a lovely lemony tang from the vape pen.
The inhale is giving me a real lemon and lime vibe with a hint of something else in the back ground.
The exhale brings in the cooling effect and very refreshing it is too.
Yeah another one I am really enjoying.
Dinner Lady Disposable Vape Pens – Fruit Mix 30mg
I Say:
A curious smell from this one almost a whack of a flowery perfume with maybe a hint of blackberry?
Whatever it is, it’s very sweet and this comes through on the inhale too.
This one tastes a little ‘generic’ if you catch my drift – like a mixed fruit juice.
Not bad but not one of the better ones for my taste buds.
Dinner Lady Disposable Vape Pens – Mango Ice 30mg
Dinner Lady Says:
Sweet mango and koolada.
I Say:
Nope!
I’m not getting this one at all.
Very little mango on the inhale and again the koolada washes any flavour away.
Sure there’s a hint of the fruit but not enough to have me coming back for more.
Dinner Lady Disposable Vape Pens – Banana Ice 30mg
I Say:
Again no flavour notes and again no real need 🙂
OK a VERY strong banana smell coming for the vape pen – and I mean almost potent.
The inhale is more foam banana candy rather than fresh fruit – but still very palatable.
The cooling agent adds a bit of a twist but not enough to make this one sparkle on the tongue.
It’s OK but all a bit underwhelming – lovely smelling clouds though.
Dinner Lady Disposable Vape Pens – Lemon Tart 30mg
Dinner Lady Says:
Lemon Tart with a butter biscuit crust; notes of meringue.
I Say:
An e-liquid flavour that really doesn’t need any introduction!
Dinner Lady’s Lemon Tart vape juice has won so many vaping awards it’s untrue.
So how’s the disposable vape pen version?
I bloody love it and then some!
The inhale gives you that gorgeous buttery crumbly pastry and a split second later the tangy lemons arrive.
The meringue is a little behind but the mix on the exhale is where the magic happens.
Very very very nice indeed and I finished this one first.
Final Review Verdict
As I said at the start, I’m really not sure where in the world the Dinner Lady Disposable Vape Pens range can be marketed.
However I guess the company knows its target countries and I’m sure they’ll do very well indeed.
The 30mg nic level isn’t in anyway harsh and in general all the flavours are well balanced and tasty.
If they bring out UK and EU TPD versions they will sell like bloody hot cakes.
Saying that, I did recently review the impressive TPD compliant Dinner Lady Disposable E-cigarettes…but these pens look much classier and vape better for me.
So – yeah if you can get them – buy them!
They look good – vape well and last a long time.
I’m far from being an eco warrior – but there really is a lot of packaging in all disposable vape pens…
Sure most of it is recyclable, it just leaves me a little uneasy.
