Why Is The DamnVape Intense Mesh MTL RDA Special?
We have had a lot of mesh rebuilables lately including the Wotofo Profile 1.5 RDA and the Vandy Vape Mesh V2 RDA.
But I think (I may be wrong – I often am) that this is the first MTL mesh rebuildable?
MTL is a vaping style mainly favoured by ex-smokers as the draw and airflow are closer to the sensation of smoking a cigarette. We tell you more in our Guide To Vaping Styles.
The benefits of mesh are a larger surface area which is heated giving a more efficient vape. One of the downsides of mesh is it can be tricky to wick as the cotton can sag under the e-liquid weight and move away from the mesh causing yukky dry hits.
The Damnvape CTC (Cotton Tightness Control) is an adjustable clamp to keep your cotton in contact with the heating element.
Looking at the deck, the mesh is mounted between two posts in a “wall” style position.
Airflow wise this is adjustable by rotating the outer barrel and is suitable for MTL and a restricted DTL airflow.
In the kit you also get a hollow bottom feed 510 pin you can install to use this on a squonk mod.
