The Cthulhu Tube Mod V2 as the name suggests is the update to the original Tube Mod.
Apart from being a brand name that I hate typing Cthulhu have had some great vape gear including the Hastur Mod, Artemis MTL RTA and the stunning Fractal DNA75 mod.
What To Expect From The Cthulhu Tube Mod V2?
The main difference I can see in the V2 compared to the original is the fact that the fire button is now at the bottom in a similar style to a mechanical mod. You can also twist this switch to lock the fire button too.
Also there is an LED indicator on the “Mosfet” chip section which was not there on the original.
Otherwise this is pretty similar to the first version.
It can use a single 18650 with the extension tube or a 18350 battery.
A Mosfet chip is provided to give basic protections including short circuit, reverse battery, 10 second timeout, over voltage and battery low voltage protection.
You can remove the Mosfet chip to replace it but I am not sure if the mod will function as a mechanical mod with it removed? The advertising images say “Mechanical and Mosfet” so I assume you might be able to? Sadly Cthulhu have not expanded on this.
The body is made from food grade 304 Stainless steel which has POM insulation inside.

I do wish the Cthulhu website was a more informative place as there are some unanswered queries on this device.
