The Cthulhu Hastur MTL RTA Mini is a huge name for such a small tank! The original Hastur MTL RTA was 24mm in diameter and 3.5ml in capacity. However the Mini version is only a little 22mm diameter and 2ml capacity tank.
This has been designed in collaboration with someone called Brian N (CA, USA). Nope not heard of him either.
The tank is for MTL (Mouth to Lung) vapers – which is a vaping style often used by ex-smokers and people who use high nicotine e-liquid. Over the last few years the rebuildable MTL scene has been a market which has had little development but it is starting to get better!
The deck is a simple single coil configuration with just 2 posts and screws.
According to the Cthulhu website you can access the deck without having to empty the tank.
Instead of the complicated air resistors found in the larger version this simply has 2 air outlets on the deck.
There are 3 holes on the airflow control ring each are a different size to restrict / open the airflow as required.
A thread-less top refilling cap makes refilling more simple and also promises to help stop leaks due to this reducing the positive pressure in the tank.
You get 2 drip tips in the kit – and these look so long on this tiny tank – a steel and a Delrin one.
The tank comes with a clear glass however there is also a frosted glass tank in the kit.
There are 2 colours available – Silver and Black.

The Cthulhu Hastur MTL RTA Mini is not a catchy name and the price looks quite steep even with pre-order deals.
But this could be a great, simple MTL RTA and there are not as many about as you would think.
Will you be buying the Mini version? Let me know what you think in the comments below!
Does it give as much condensation as some say it does? Seems like a super nifty tank, but slurping up condensation all the time really is a let down and will make sure the tank will just sit in a closet collecting dust.
