The Coilart Lux 200 Kit is a regulated 200w dual battery box mod coupled with the Lux Tank as a topper.
Coilart was established in 2016, their design team is based in the US but they manufacture their products in China.
They advocate a healthy, stylish vape culture around the world. Coilart hosted the 1st Global trick competition back in 2017, for which they were widely praised by global vapers and enthusiasts.
They have bought us products like Mage Mech V2.0 Stacked Edition, Mage RTA V2 and the Azeroth RDTA.
What Can We Expect From the Coilart Lux 200 Kit?
With 5 gorgeous colours available the Lux 200w Kit by Coilart is as beautiful as it is luxurious looking. It has a calibre of craftsmanship and aesthetic beauty that screams quality.
The Lux mod is in the style of the good old square box mod and is mostly made from a zinc-alloy construction. The shiny marble finish on the side glass panels is superb, damn this thing looks and feel amazing!
It will fire up to 200w with a 0.005 second firing speed thanks to the new smart eagle chipset and it’s also fully customizable using a computer and the Coilart software.
The Lux Tank is a unique design that comes with 2 mesh coils it has smooth dual airflow slots. A little bit of a letdown in looks compared to the mod but the faux marble is interestingly different.
This kit was purchased by myself. As always my thoughts and views with this kit are my own after a considerable testing period.

Lux 200w Mod Walk Around
Workface
The mod has a large fire button made of plastic, 2 large plastic adjustment buttons and a micro USB port for charging and updates.
The OLED screen is large and bright the display has all relevant information using a good sized font.
Top and Bottom and Backside of the device
The bottom of the Lux 200 has the normal safety marks as well as design info along with 6 venting or board cooling holes.
The top of the mod has a stainless steel connection with slots for those that use 510 airflow. The 510 threading is well turned, the connection pin is gold plated and spring loaded and sits to the front of the device over the workface.
The device will hold atomisers up to 24mm in diameter.
The backside of the mod has “LUX200” branding.
None of the sides have been rounded so after a while the mod may become uncomfortable to hold.
Battery Doors and Sled
The device has 2 battery doors that are gorgeous they are made from reinforced glass with UV printing to give them a marbled pattern, the main door has a slight movement to it while the other has none.
The battery sled is clean and made of plastic, and has 4 magnets either side to hold the doors in position.
The battery marks are moulded into the plastic.
The connection points are gold plated with both negatives being spring loaded.
Lux Tank Walk Around
I have the 2ml TPD version I am currently waiting for the larger capacity replacement bubble glass and more coils to arrive.
The tank is made of stainless steel, brass, resin and Pyrex, the tank breaks down into 6 parts including the coil.
Base, Coils and Airflow
The bottom of the base has the normal info laser printed on to the SS.
The 510 threading is very well turned, the connection is a non-adjustable gold plated pin (not recommended for hybrid connections).
The airflow ring is made of resin and has 2 wide slots, the airflow ring doesn’t spin all the way around they have used a stainless steel peg as a stopper.
The base cup has good threading for the coils and an O’ring stopper ring for the glass to sit upon.
Coilart have supplied 2 coils with the tank:
- 0.15Ω M1 – 50 to 90w – Mesh Single Coil
- 0.15Ω M4 – 80 to 150w – Mesh Quad Coil
Glass and Chimney, Fill Port
The glass is made of Pyrex the EU version will hold 2ml of liquid while the standard version will hold 5.5ml.
The fill Port and Chimney section is in one piece, made of brass the fill port consists of 2 kidney shaped holes that are covered by the top cap.
The chimney section screws directly into the coil. It’s rather short but it has a small O’ring in place behind the thread to stop the coil from being flooded.
Top Cap | MouthPiece
The top cap has a stainless steel inlay surrounded by a resin shell the SS threading is turned well. There is a wide washer inset into the cap so when it is screwed on to the fill port section no leaks will occur!
The 810 mouthpiece is made or resin and fits into the top cap. It’s a tight fit being that the mouthpiece is the type with 2 O’rings and the top cap has an embedded O’ring.
The whole kit has be designed and manufactured extremely well with top grade materials.
How Does Coilart Lux 200 Kit Perform?
For this example I will first use the M4 0.15Ω coil followed by the M1 0.15Ω I have filled the Tank up with Strawberry and Lime e-liquid by Frukt Cyder.
Basic Quick Start Guide
Lux tank
I recommend emptying the tank before changing your coils or you will make a mess.
- Unscrew the connection base from the tank to change coils.
- Unscrew the old coil from the base and replace with a new one.
- Prep the coil by dropping a few drop of e-liquid onto the cotton within the coil.
Screw the base back into the body of the tank.
Unscrew the top cap and fill with liquid.Replace the cap and screw on to the Lux 200 Mod, leave for 5 minutes so the cotton can soak up more e-liquid.
Lux 200 Mod
Remove the battery door/s and insert your 2 x 18650 batteries following the battery orientation marks.
The mod does supports on board charging via the micro USB port, although for safety I would recommend charging your batteries using a standalone charger such asd the Golisi S6.
5 rapid clicks of the fire button will turn the device on and off.
Menu System Basics
- Click the fire button 3 times to switch modes; Power, Bypass, TC Modes Ni, Ti, SS
- Power mode the device will give you a suggested wattage based on the Ω of your coil.
- Press fire 4 times to change puff strength, Strong, Weak, Normal, and Custom.
Choosing the Custom setting you can set different power every second i.e. 1s 150w, 2’s 200w, 3s 160w, 4s 120w, 5s 80w etc
This can also be setup via the Coilart software available via their website along with other attributes like firmware upgrading.
Safety Protections
The mod includes 10 protections these include:-
- USB input
- Equalizing charge system
- Low voltage
- Low resistance
- Output short circuit
- Over time
- Over charge
- Over Temperature
- Over Current
- Anti loaded battery
Flavour and Vapour
M4 Coil at 80-120w
Starting out at 80W and the AF wide open, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a warm flavoursome vape with dense cloud straight off the bat from the Lux tank!
Bumping the watts up to 120w in 10w increments, I found that the vapour gets extremely hot as does the tank. However, the tank does cool quite quickly, the flavour sort of petered out for me around 95w.
My go to vape with this tank and coil is up to 80w.
M1 Coil – 65-70w
Switching out for the M1 coil, which is much more my style, vaping it around the 65/70w range the flavour was very good with a decent amount of vapour production the tank still gets warm but not overly so.
Coil life
I have been using this kit for 2 weeks.
The M4 coil lasted me 4 days with heavy use at 80w before I started getting a burnt taste!
The M1 coil so far has lasted me well over a week vaping it at 65w, I have just noticed a slight drop in the flavour while writing this.
Battery Life etc
I have been using Avatar 2100mah 18650’s in the Lux, and have managed a good 3.5 to 4hrs of use.
The mod is rather heavy once the batteries and tank are installed which might be a downer for some.
Also because the mod is square and the sides have not been rounded in anyway some might find it uncomfortable to hold for long periods.
Although I personally find it OK to hold for extended periods, maybe because I have large hands!

Final Review Verdict
To be honest I found it hard to find points I didn’t really like about the Coilart Lux 200 Kit and those I have listed as Cons above really are just nit picking.
The size of the whole kit is perfect for me and my large hands, although I can see where some might not like the overall weight and shape.
The whole kit is stunning to look at, and while the tank isn’t my cup of char it functions very well as a sub ohm tank.
Would I Recommend the Lux 200 Kit?
Yes I would!
Would I buy the Coilart Lux 200 again due loss or damage?
Again yes I would; however I’d be tempted to leave the tank in the box in favour of an RTA or RDA.
Have you used this kit? Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
I really want one of these so you have any stock. No one else has any
Sorry Andrea we only review not sell.
