The BMOR Sober Pod Kit is a new device from a brand I have never heard of!
Looking at their website – they have produced some disposable vapes – The Nitro, Venus and Selva plus the Fuse refillable pod kit.
This is the first BMOR kit that has been sent to us at Ecigclick for review!
What To Expect From The BMOR Sober Pod Kit…
As you can see this is designed to stand out with a real funky vibe. Not only is it funky but the exterior has an anti-fingerprint and anti-scratch coating too!
The mod has an internal 650mAh battery which is charged via the USB Type C port – they have not specified the charging rate though sadly.
This has a fixed output of 18W and seeing as there is only one coil available – the 0.8ohm – you probably wouldn’t need to have adjustable output really.
An LED indicator is located on the base to display the battery capacity remaining but there are no buttons or adjustments as this is draw activated.
The pod section connects to the mod magnetically and is refillable via the fill port on the base.
You can get a 4ml pod as standard but this will be reduced to 2ml for TPD regulated areas.
The coil is removable and replaceable but there is only one coil option at present which is 0.8ohm mesh.
There are 6 colours to choose from : Yellow, Aqua, Pink, Orange, Lime and Grey.
I will report back honestly on my findings of the devices I have in my possession. Your experience may differ.

BMOR Sober Design and Build Quality
The device consists of 3 main components – the pod (or tank), removable / replaceable coil and the mod (battery section).
I received 2 of these kits in the Aqua and Pink colours.
It is also worth noting I got the 4ml capacity pod in my kits, usually for TPD regulated areas you will get the 2ml pod capacity.
I was also sent a pack of 4 replacement coils too which is excellent – thank you so much!
This is packaged well and both kits arrived in pristine condition.
I think the instruction booklet is OK but some details are missing such as how the LED indicator displays the battery capacity when vaping?
Mod
This is in essence a plastic cylinder.
The top third is lightly smoked but still pretty transparent. This is where the pod sits.
Inside this section is a metal circular magnet and 2 spring connection pins. These mean that whichever way around you install the pod it always makes contact.
The pod is held in firmly with the magnets, it doesn’t wobble and even shaking the kit around tipped upside down the pod doesn’t move at all.
The bottom 2 thirds of the body are opaque with a paint splash pattern in the colour of your choice.
On the front in white is a large “B+MOR” logo which is the length of the coloured section and the rest of the body is plain apart from the small airflow inlet slot at the rear.
On the base of the body is the USB Type C port which worked perfectly fine and 2 small securing screws.
A “+” shaped LED indicator light sits just below the USB Port – which is not a great placement really.
When the light indicates there is one small glow on the body which is all you can see when vaping see image below.
As there is no marking as to where you can see this glow you will have to rotate the device to get the glow visible.
The base has the “CE” logo and “No bin” logo stamped into it.
It will stand up perfectly stable on the base and as it isn’t that tall it does take a bit of nudging to get it to topple over.
Pod
The pod is made from a lightly smoked plastic material and apart from the top face it is totally enclosed within the mod part.
It is still clear enough to see the e-liquid level when installed.
On the base are 3 strong magnets which contact the metal ring in the top of the mod.
Another round piece of metal is the pivot for the filling port.
The port has the word “OPEN” stamped into it and you lift it with a nail at the opposite end to the pivot.
When fully open you can swing the port cover around slightly to make access to the fill port a lot easier.
The port itself is an oval shape and measures 7mm in length and around 3mm in width so plenty of room for most bottle nozzles.
A simple push in / pull out system is employed for the coil and the coil base even has a lip so you can use a nail to prise it out of the pod for changing.
The mouthpiece is moulded into the pod and non-removable but it compares to a 510 drip tip in inner and outer diameter so designed for MTL vapers.
As the base of the coil sits a few mm below the base of the pod this means the incoming airflow flows into the first set of 4 holes on the coil.
Above this is an O-ring and 4 e-liquid wicking holes.
At the top of the coil is another O-ring which secures the coil into the chimney to mouthpiece section of the pod.
BMOR Sober Pod Kit Quick Start Guide
This is pretty simple to get up and running, the coil is already installed so you will need to charge the battery and fill the pod up with e-liquid.
Basic Operation
- Power On/Off = there is no way to switch this on and off – if not being used it will enter “Sleeping mode” until you vape on it again.
- Vaping = inhale on the mouthpiece and the device will fire automatically – the LED will turn green unless the battery charge is low…
- Battery indicator = lights up Green when vaping, turns Red when battery is almost empty.
- Battery indicator when charging = LED will flash Red whilst charging, when fully charged the LED light will briefly turn green and then turn off.
Protections
- Low battery – the light will flash red twice when vaping and stop firing – time to recharge.
- Short circuit – red light will flash twice – check connections or replace coil.
- Over time protection – when vaping for over 8 seconds the red light will flash 5 times.
- Anti dry hit – the led will flash white 3 times when there is insufficient e-liquid in the pod or there is an over-heat.
How To Charge The Battery
The charging rate is not specified.
- Using the included USB type C cable connect the small end into the USB port on the mod.
- Connect the large end of the cable into a suitable USB outlet.
- Whilst charging the LED will flash red. It will switch off when fully charged.
The charging time for me varied between 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes using a 2A charge plug.
How To Fill
- Remove the pod from the device.
- Tip the pod upside down.
- Lift up the fill port cover. You can gently swing it out of the way to access the port easier.
- Add e-liquid through the fill port whilst viewing the level through the pod.
- Replace the fill port cover firmly.
- Push the pod into the device.
If this is the first fill or using a new coil make sure to leave the pod standing for around 10 minutes to make sure the coil is fully soaked in e-liquid. Failing to do this could damage the coil and give you the yukkiest vape you have ever had.
How To Replace The Coil
- Remove the pod from the device.
- Tip the pod upside down.
- Pull out the old coil (if installed).
- Push in a new coil until it is firmly in place.
- Fill the pod as described above.
- Replace the pod into the device and leave to stand for 10 minutes.
How Does the BMOR Sober Pod Kit Perform?
I used a 50/50% VG / PG e-liquid in here – which is a Bubblegum IVG concentrate I mix myself with 6mg nic salt strength.
Sadly my e-liquid is a bit of a “coil killer” as I use 20% concentrate – which can gunge up the coils quite quickly.
However I am pleased to report I have so far refilled this 6 times (6 x 4ml = 24ml) and the flavour is still going strong!

0.8ohm Mesh Coil
All I can say is “WOW”.
That’s it – end of review!
Nah only joking! But I have to admit as I hadn’t heard of BMOR before and having reviewed some obscure kits from unknown companies my expectations were a bit low. I know I shouldn’t!
Anyway that is all blown out of the water with the flavour this little kit pumps out.
I can taste my e-liquid flavours clear and sweet and the amount of vapour really surprised me!
I use this e-liquid in my OXVA Xlim V2 kits and the flavour is just as good. But the vapour – just wow! I was quite shocked to fog out the gaff with an 0.8ohm coil!
The airflow is a slight issue which I will cover below – and if this was improved the flavour would get 10/10!
Airflow
The airflow is fixed and cannot be adjusted. Air enters the kit through a small slot on the rear of the device. I did try to turn the pod around to see if it made any difference – but it didn’t.
The reason being is that the airflow inlet on the mod sits below the pod base and there is only the coil base beneath that. So the base of the pod is higher than the inlet. If the mod inlet could be moved slightly higher and perhaps a slight slope on the pod airflow inlet you could create an adjustment pretty easily by rotating the pod. What a shame!
It is a loose MTL – it works fine and gives plenty of flavour, but the times I accidentally obstructed the inlet with my fingers the flavour really improved a lot.
So to be able to just dial that airflow down slightly would make this 10/10.
It is great but could do with tightening, or even giving some adjustment.
This is the only bit that spoils the kit for me. Not massively – I enjoy using it so much – but such a shame to see the potential is there and not being expanded upon.
BMOR Sober Mod Performance
The mod has performed well apart from the issue of the LED indicator.
This is on the base and does shine through one part of the mod, but if that part is away from you, you can’t see the indicator at all when vaping.
But the mod redeemed itself with the super quick and responsive auto draw fire, I didn’t have to suck my pants up my bum to get it to fire and there were no instances of it not responding.
Output wise this seems to me as pretty consistent until the Red LED ignites to warn of low voltage. At this point the vape was very weak and even spitty as the e-liquid was not being fully vaporised.
I really would like a better warning system, i.e. full charge, mid charge and low charge all being different colours so you get a lot more warning to plug the USB cable in.
The output is confusing as the instructions say it is 18W yet the website says it is 15W?
With the 0.8ohm coil in my OXVA Xlim V2 I set the output to 15.5W and the flavour is similar to the Sober so perhaps the 15W is more realistic?
Battery Life
One of my issues is that the instructions do not tell you what the battery indicator shows when vaping – i.e. battery life remaining. It just says when the voltage is down to 3.3V or lower the LED will flash red twice.
I wasn’t sure if you would get any warning of the battery charge being low before that – i.e. the LED changes colour?
Anyway the answer to that is No. It just stays Green until the battery is about to conk on you and turns Red. Not great really. It continues to work very weakly until about 20 mins later and the Red LED started flashing.
As there is no puff counter on here I can only time how long each charge lasted me in vaping time. So being a heavy nic salt vaper I got around 4 hours to each full charge. For the last 20 minutes of this time the vape was very weak and I was having to do very long inhales to get a decent hit.
Pros
- Kit and replacement coils / pods are really inexpensive compared to other brands.
- Flavour is amazing straight away!
- Nice design and you can see e-liquid level easily.
- No leaks at all.
- Easier to fill than some pod kits.
- Worked perfectly with great auto draw firing speed.
- Good coil life.
Cons
- LED indicator located on the base of the mod where you can’t see it very well when vaping.
- Only 1 coil included in the kit.
- You might find difficulty obtaining coils / pods – not a lot of stockists.
- Airflow whilst OK as a loose MTL – could do with adjustment or tightening.
- Some details missing from instructions such as battery capacity LED description.
- LED indicates green until the battery is almost discharged – needs an earlier warning.
- Could do with a bigger battery as this only lasted me 4 hours and the vape was very weak for last 20 mins.
Final Review Verdict
So what do I think of the BMOR Sober.
I actually think it’s pretty fantastic and really should put the BMOR name on the map for other vapers.
It is such a well made-kit and super super simple to operate – that even a new vaper would feel pretty at home straight away.
To me why even buy a disposable when you can get an inexpensive pod kit that is this good.
My issues are minor but I feel so sad that they are an issue as it seems such a missed opportunity to make this lovely little kit even better and get top marks!
The LED placement is terrible, it needs to be moved or made bigger so you can always see it when vaping. You can see it if the mod is at a certain position but you don’t always pick it up that way.
I wish there were different colours to the LED for different battery charge levels – the only indication I got was a red LED when it was almost unvapeable as being so low in charge. Otherwise the rest of the time was a green LED!
The battery capacity is pretty low when you consider this is pumping out either 18W or 15W – it is such a small device it wouldn’t hurt to increase the battery size.
Airflow adjustment would be the final detail to make this flavour from this kit 10/10. I found the airflow good, but when I accidentally restricted it myself the flavour went up several notches to perfection. Such a small modification would make a massive difference to the flavour – which is already excellent – it could be perfect!
But all my moans do need to be balanced against the super low price of this kit and I have had more expensive devices that perform worse than this!
As my first introduction to this company the Sober has left an excellent first impression!
Would I Buy This Kit Myself?
Definitely! This is the cost of approximately 2 disposables with plenty of use to be had.
Even the replacement coils are inexpensive. However they might become difficult to find in stock as this is not a big name kit, already since this arrived a few months ago there are less online stockists.
What a great kit for the price and super funky to look at too!
