Introduction: Hermetic RDA by Blitz and Suck My Mod
Today, we take a look at the Blitz Hermetic RDA, a collaboration with Suck My Mod.
Whilst most will recognise Blitz instantly, unless you follow YouTube reviewers, you may not instantly know Suck My Mod. Suck My Mod is a US reviewer with 220k plus subscribers and well known within the Vape Reviewer community. They aren’t new to collabs, they also worked with Wotofo on the excellent Wotofo Serpent SMM RTA. So we have high hopes here!
The Hermetic RDA is 22mm with a reported leak resistant bottom airflow with bridged airflow technology.
At first glance, you would be right if you thought you had seen this design before, or something very similar in the form of the Ghoul RDA. Lets see if the Hermetic RDA offers enough to set it apart from the rest.
As always, the Hermetic RDA was sent to me direct for this review. I will, as always give my own, honest opinion of this product after a lengthy testing period.

Design and Build Quality
The Blitz Hermetic RDA is very well built and machined. On looking in the top cap, you can see the quality from the off, nice thick walled and there are no sharp edges, residual oil or loose shards to be seen.
The design on the outside of the top cap is, in SMM’s own words “an Alchemy” design. The design itself may not in itself be magic, that’s left for the deck design.
If you are a lover of Blitz products, it’s probably safe to say, you have or at some point had in your arsenal, The Ghoul. Now, though the Hermetic RDA is similar in design, it is also quite different. That’s to say, the airflow is singular and has a bridged airflow design to direct the air directly to the bottom of the coil.
Depth of Juice Well
The juice well for this single coil RDA is rather quite large measuring to its lowest point a rather deep 7mm.
You will be very hard pushed indeed to over squonk or over drip. In my time testing the Hermetic RDA, I over dripped once and that was only a couple of dribbles from the air flow.
Post Type
Post TypeThe Blitz Hermetic RDA has a single ceramic clamp system.
The coil legs are placed at both sides of the post whilst positioning the coil above the deck on a coil jig in the recessed slots.
The coil is tightened down by a single Philips head screw sat in the centre of the ceramic clamp.
I opted for a Framed Stapled Clapton with an inner diameter of 3mm but if you opt for a 4mm inner diameter coil, there is plenty of room for this.
There is no need at all to measure your coil leg length as they protrude out of the back of the ceramic clamps enabling you to cut the excess without a problem at all.
Air Flow
The airflow on the Hermetic RDA comes from the rear of the RDA. At first, moving from dual airflow devices, it can seem a little peculiar but soon becomes “normal”.
The airflow is a little turbulent with some noise when you are vaping. That said, it really is nothing ear splitting. The airflow, although a tad turbulent, still gives a smooth vaping experience.
The air comes into the airflow at a slight downward angle, along then up through the Bridged Airflow thus hitting directly underneath the coil maximising the flavour from this RDA.
How does the Blitz Hermetic RDA Perform?
The Hermetic is a single coil, sleek designed RDA but how does it perform, and does it stand out from the crowd?
Well, I have been using the Hermetic RDA as a squonking and dripping RDA in equal measures and neither out performs the other. Each of us has our own way of vaping and it is good to note that which ever way you go, it won’t affect the way this RDA performs.
This is mainly due to the fact that your single coil is placed in the same position how ever you vape this RDA. Some RDA’s give out different flavour or produce differing cloud production depending on the coil placement. You are guided as to where you place the coils in the Hermetic RDA so as long as you use the same type coils, you will get the same results each time.
The flavour from the Hermetic RDA is very good though I wouldn’t say it’s mind blowing. I do feel that if the depth of the well was shortened and the overall height of the Hermetic RDA was shortened then you would get slightly better flavour.
The cloud production from the RDA is ok but, this is a 22mm single coil RDA so you can forgive it for that .

Final Verdict
You may notice looking above, I have no Cons for the Blitz Hermetic RDA. I’ve searched hard just to even find one and I can not realistically do so.
This single coil 22mm RDA is a very strong RDA with good flavour and cloud production but I feel there isn’t anything that makes it stand out from the crowd. If you put 10 RDA’s on a table in front of me, I feel the Hermetic RDA would be lost as there isn’t enough from this to make it stand out.
I also feel that lowering the profile of the Hermetic RDA would have stepped up the flavour and moved it up another notch, slightly raising it’s pretty little head above others and becoming more noticeable.
