The disposable vape train keeps on chucking out smoke. Or vapour in this case so today we’re taking a look at the new Beco Slim.
Please note: This product is not available in the UK as it doesn’t meet TPD regulations. So only available for readers outside TPD regulated countries.
The Beco Vape range of disposables have been designed by none other than US based Vaptio. Ardent vapers will be familiar with them for the likes of the Vaptio Wall Crawler kit and the Avocado Baby pod kit.
The Beco Slim is their latest offering in a range of disposables designed for areas inside and outside of the EU.
I’ve mentioned this in the Beco Beak disposable vape review but the name is inspired by the tropical bird of paradise, the Toucan.
Symbolising confidence, bursting with energy, always on the go and thriving to connect with others.
.. A bit like me, really. Ha!
I was mightily impressed with the Beco Beak. Do they continue to ruffle feathers with the Beco Slim disposable vape?
What Can We Expect From the Beco Slim Disposable Vapes?
A sizeable presence even if it does weigh only 53g.
In the general scheme of all things disposable the Beco Slim is large. Strange thing to say given the name but with a length of over 4 inches it’s not the most comfortable vape in the hand.
Even though it is slim at 13.5mm it’s not necessarily going to appeal to those with smaller digits. Its cumbersome size is exasperated by a 34.5mm width.
The lower two thirds of the disposable have been given the soft rubber paint treatment, providing adequate enough grip while vaping. The upper portion and mouthpiece is comprised of a tough, glossy plastic.
Big vape – tiny MTL mouthpiece opening.
The sides are appropriately contoured so this does add to aesthetical appeal.
The base is host to two airflow slots with one doubling up as a Blue LED battery indicator that illuminates during auto draw.
On the Inside
I guess when we realise what’s inside there’s every reason for its size in comparison to traditional TPD compliant disposables.
It’s holding 9ml of 50mg salt nicotine E-liquid. There’s also a larger 1150mAh integrated battery within designed to keep it going for anything up to 4,500 puffs.
It’s non rechargeable so it’ll be interesting to see how many hours vaping I can get in.
As mentioned, the Mouthpiece looks all set for a decent MTL vape but the inclusion of two airflow slots suggests maybe a RDL (restrictive direct lung) vape is possible.
RDL vaping 50mg salt nicotine. Brave, ain’t I lol.
Converting E-liquid into vape is an upgraded 1.1ohm 304L Stainless Steel mesh coil.
Mesh is renowned for giving great flavour replication but the juice formula of the Beco Slim has also been updated to enhance it further.
There are a total of 10 different flavours to choose from and these range from fruits, sweet and mint. The majority of these incorporate an icy cold Menthol.

Ok, it’s time to see how well these flavours stack up. Please remember that taste is subjective. Use my thoughts as a mere guide as to what to expect.
Banana Ice
Beco Vape Says:
Banana Ice produces a sweet taste with icy notes thanks to the combination of ripe fruit and menthol.
I Say:
There is a lot of sweetener involved with Banana Ice. There’s simply no escaping that fact.
It comes through quite intensely from the very first vape although not that noticeable on the initial inhale.
It’s quite over powering when set against a false tasting Banana that’s already loaded with sweetness thanks to the foam sweet rendition we actually get.
So we get an unnatural, artificial take on our beloved yellow, bendy fruit. The one that’s doing the rounds in the majority of disposables.
I do like the Menthol content. It’s not brain freezingly cold and rates quite low down on my Sting-o-meter.
If you’re into sweet based flavours, you’ll probably like what Banana Ice has to offer. Be aware that it’s a generic tasting E-liquid though and offers no real surprises if you’ve tried disposables with similar descriptions.
Blueberry Raspberry
Beco Vape Says:
Blueberry Raspberry layers the sweet taste of Blueberries with notes of Raspberries in this mixed berry flavour.
I Say:
The defining taste in this one, maybe unsurprisingly is the Raspberry. They’re juicy, flavoursome and above all very sweet.
To be honest, I was expecting more of a chalky dry sweet version but the fruit is very lively and tasty. Clean and very well defined it has that ‘just one more vape’ trait.
However, when it comes to the Blueberry I sense very little. It never seems to escape the clutches of that ever dominant Raspberry.
The thing is, I never really associated Blueberry with a great deal of sweetness and because that’s what we have here, seems to dissolve before ever been experienced.
Again, the Menthol does a good job at cooling the throat and never over powers what’s on offer in terms of flavour.
As much as I actually like Blueberry Raspberry it only lives up to half the bargain, hence the overall score.
Rainbow
Beco Vape Says:
Rainbow is inspired by a sweet and sugary candy lolly, a perfect choice for vapers with a sweet tooth.
I Say:
A very acrid almost sulphuric vape that absolutely dominates the proceedings.
It could be that it’s overloaded with sweetness and crammed with a host of different flavours that struggle to find their own space during the exhale.
I’m quite sure during the inhale there’s a few traces of Orange beginning to develop but that’s as much as I can decipher. The sweetness of the vape takes hold far too early to allow a decent quality fruit to emerge.
So what I find is an explosion of unexplainable fruits. Or sweets.
As a combined experience, Rainbow doesn’t seem to translate as anything particularly relatable. This isn’t a flavour profile that’s instantly recognisable but then again neither is it inaccessible.
I’m almost prone to suggest that we have a rather original flavour for a disposable vape.
It honestly tastes like a mixture of fruit and chewy sweets with a candy like edge.
If it’s supposed to be a take on Skittle style sweets then to a degree Rainbow works. Overall it’s just a little too concentrated and less gummy than I’d expect as a vaping equivalent.
You’re going to need a sweet tooth to get the most out of Rainbow.
Battery Performance and Number of Puffs
The battery lasted for a grand total of 35 hours. Flavour and cloud production was extremely consistent throughout, the sweetness of the vapes present right up to the last puff.
However, after doing the maths and working to the average number of puffs I take per hour 2,500 puffs is falling way short of the suggested figure.
I’m writing this part of the review last because I anticipated finalising it after it had gone up. I was expecting at least 48 hours continuous use from the disposable.
Oh! Nearly forgot to mention. The Blue LED flashed 10 times to let me know time was up. Or so I thought.
I was able to continue for a further 20 puffs or so. Shame really. Definitely a case of too little too late.
Final Review Verdict
Quite interestingly, the Beco Slim provided me with a decent MTL vape and restrictive lung hit. Admittedly the latter is quite tight but that’s how I tend to like vaping.
Very sweet. A bit too much for my liking. But a smooth vape. Either that or I’m getting used to 50mg salt nic!
The flavours will be just fine if you’re new to vaping and there’s enough going on to hold the attention. We get a lot of consistency and each vape is as flavoursome as the last.
Battery performance was quite poor, in all honesty. To fall a few thousand puffs short isn’t the best of test results.
So is it handsome?
In all honesty? No. We have a hard enough time as it is with regards to recycling and the Beco Slim just adds extra weight (and size) to the dilemma posed by disposable vapes.
It doesn’t matter that it’s non TPD either since the impact on the environment is of global concern.
Political rant aside, if you’ve a sweet tooth and relatively new to E-liquid flavours the Beco Slim may be worth checking out. Just don’t expect 4,500 puffs.
