Today I’ve got my hands on five fruity flavours from the Bar Series 100ml short fill E-liquid range.
These have been manufactured and brewed by Mixtio Labs Inc, a UK based company based in Staffordshire.
Mixtio specialise in contract packaging, manufacturing and white label products. They’re also responsible for the Major Flavor range of E-liquids as well as the Evil Clouds short fill range.
They’ve also brewed dessert style vapes on behalf of The Custard Company, three of which we’ve reviewed here.
As an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Mixtio have also produced labels for products such as cocktail bottles, body lotions and CBD hand creams.
Since none of those are vapable, our focus today is on the Bar Series range of E-liquids.
What Can We Expect From the Bar Series Range of E-liquids?
They’ve been created to directly compete with all the disposable vape flavours currently flooding the market.
By now this is far from a new concept yet it remains a highly cost effective alternative.
If those disposable E-liquid flavours can be faithfully reproduced there’s mega money to be saved in comparison.
To lure the disposable enthusiast further the Bar Series range includes five of the most popular, most recognised flavours out there.
So they’re available as 100ml in 120ml short fill bottles with enough space for two 10ml nicotine shots of choice.
With a starting E-liquid ratio of 70VG/30PG the Bar series will be better suited to higher powered pod kits and sub ohm tank set ups.
Yet fear not if you’re a MTL (Mouth To Lung) enthusiast.
They can also be picked up in 10ml bottles premixed with a salt nicotine strength of 10mg.
With an E-liquid ratio of 50VG/50PG these will be perfect for lower power pod devices. The Vaporesso XROS 3 pod kit or Lost Vape Ursa Nano Art are two examples.

I’d like to thank Vape Club for sending these over for the purposes of review. It’s very much appreciated.
I’ve added two high VG 18mg freebase nicotine shots, resulting in a 75VG/25PG juice ratio with a nicotine strength of 3mg.
So my weapon of choice will be the Digiflavor Drop RDA V2. Single coiled with a resistance of 0.4 Ohm using Cotton Gods cotton as the wicking material and running on the SX Mini SL Class V2 Mod at 3.7V / 35W.
It’s important to note that flavour replication will alter from set up to set up. I can only tell you what I’m experiencing with mine.
Blueberry Sour Raspberry
Bar Series Says:
Blueberry Sour Raspberry balances a sweet fruity taste and tangy sherbet notes to create a vape reminiscent of the memorable taste of berries mixed with a zingy Lemonade.
I Say:
I pick out sherbet qualities the most. They merge and mingle with the ice cold nature of the exhale, giving the vape a distinct character.
It works very well.
The Lemonade seems very much underplayed and is replaced by a tangy sharpness. Without any true flavour.
If Raspberry is indeed present, it’s hidden under the weight of the Blueberry.
And I’m not quite sure what’s going on with the Blueberry content. It tastes a bit murky and muddled, certainly lacking the sweetness and clarity common with disposable vape alternatives.
It’s certainly more subtle in terms of output but the chemical, artificial flavour does reappear as an aftertaste.
The Koolada is nicely balanced. It doesn’t cut the throat to shreds thanks to additional airflow.
But given the description of the vape it’s quite a bland tasting end product.
Grape
Bar Series Says
Grape is a classic Purple Grape flavour that has a sweet inhale and a crisp finish.
I Say:
I do not like the aroma this one is giving off. It smells vile from the moment I unscrew the cap.
Having said that, I’m no fan of Grape vapes. All I can do is let you know if it’s replicating the fruit to full potential or not.
Oh dear!
I don’t think it is.
The exhale truly does remind me of cats pee and I feel close to gagging.
It starts quite promising with a healthy dollop of sweetness latching onto the inhale but after that it goes belly up.
As the exhale unfolds the sweetness of the vape is replaced with a musky vintage wine that broadens out into something truly horrendous.
To say Grape is synthetic and false tasting would be an understatement. It’s nothing like the fruit at all.
That’s no particular fault of the Bar Series – not many manufacturers get this right, in my opinion.
I never thought I’d say it but I prefer the taste of Grape from an average disposable over this.
My set up seems to be amplifying all that I despise from a Grape flavoured vape.
From vintage wine to cats pee.. I need a glass of water. Maybe some smelling salts too!
Strawberry Raspberry Cherry
Bar Series Says:
Strawberry Raspberry Cherry is a fusion of mixed berries. A layer of sweet Strawberry is blended with sharp Raspberry and the distinct taste of Cherry.
I Say:
The cooling agent seems to have been ramped up in this one and it’s taken me by surprise.
That’s not a bad thing and does bring out those Cherry notes. It seems to amplify them.
This time I can pick out some of the Raspberry flavour. It’s nothing major and works to around 50% efficiency. In other words it’s nowhere near as effective as it needs to be.
If that was a concern, there’s even less of the Strawberry.
I’m honestly reminded of a Cherry Bakewell tart on Ice. That’s really as much of a flavour experience as I’m getting.
What happened to the sweetness levels?
It does beg the question – “Can Strawberry, Raspberry and Cherry really work that well together?”
Not in this version.
Sweet Strawberry
Bar Series Says:
Sweet Strawberry is a bold one note flavour that recreates the authentic taste of Strawberries.
I Say:
One thing we can be certain of with Sweet Strawberry is that it is sweet. Very sweet.
For this reason it shares the same characteristics of an average disposable vape. So it’s one in the range that comes quite close to replicating the experience.
Another reason would be in the use of the fruit itself. It’s the chewy sweet variety. Probably as far removed from a natural tasting Strawberry as it gets.
That’s not to say it’s bad. It affords plenty of flavour, from the start to the end of exhale.
It’s not mentioned in the title but there is still some cooling agent applied. Thankfully it never stings the throat.
So it works well in complementing this single, sweet flavour.
Definitely a no thrills vape designed for the casual or occasional vaper.
Watermelon Ice
Bar Series Says:
Watermelon Ice combines the flavour of juicy Watermelons with an arctic ice menthol note on the exhale to create a fresh tasting vape.
I Say:
I like this one.
The reason I say this is because it’s not the generic Watermelon often found in disposable vapes. It doesn’t contain the same sharp, oily synthetic taste commonly associated.
There’s a light muskiness to the exhale, wrapped up in a layering of sweetness that’s pretty much spot on. It also reminds me of honeydew Watermelon – my favourite variety.
Some of the bitterness gets drawn up on the inhale, mingling with that sweetness before the fruit truly kicks in on the way out.
Watermelon Ice is a pleasant vape and does have a natural mouth-watering appeal.
I wouldn’t particularly suggest the presence of Menthol, though. To me it’s more like a strong punch of Koolada.
Expect it to play a large part in the overall vape experience because it does hit quite hard.
A decent blend and one perfectly suited to the warmer months of the year.
Final Review Verdict
Simplicity has been the key with the Bar Series range of E-liquids.
Do they emulate the experiences of a disposable vape? Yes and no. Sometimes the sweetness levels were on par, sometimes I felt they were sorely lacking. So that was one inconsistency I found.
The other was with the flavours themselves. Although generally getting the job done, they failed when it came to blending. Strawberry Raspberry Cherry was an example.
Finally, vapour production is another bone of contention. Higher VG levels are going to produce much more than a disposable vape.
All this leads me to think that the disposable vape experience is best suited to liquid ratios of 50VG/50PG and vaped in lower powered MTL devices.
That’s of course if you’re looking for the best effect.
I’ll stick to vaping more complex arrangements in my sub ohm set ups, I think.
