Aspire’s latest tank release is the Aspire Triton Mini, which is a smaller version of the Aspire Triton 2 but aimed at mouth to lung vapers rather than lung hitters.
It’s also compatible with the older BVC coil heads that were available for the popular Aspire Nautilus and Aspire Nautilus Mini.
Aspire Release The Triton Mini – Have They Improved Over The Original Tank?
The Triton Mini has a 2ml tank capacity – top filling system. Add to this the small size and adjustable airflow control this could be a tank that’s compliant with the upcoming TPD regulations.
Let’s see how it performs and what kind of vaper this tank would benefit.

Build Quality & Design
The Aspire Triton Mini is a very well constructed tank, manufactured from stainless steel with a Pyrex glass tank section.
There is a spare glass tank section included in the box so if you do break the original, you can replace it without needing to purchase a whole new tank. It’s easy to replace the glass as well, because you can fully strip down the Aspire Triton Mini for cleaning and maintenance.
Threads are smooth too which makes it really easy to swap old coils out for new ones. It’s a small tank too, with a 20mm width and a tiny 60mm height including the drip tip, the drip tip can be swapped out for a 510 threaded one of your choice.
Tank capacity comes in at 2ml and there is a top filling system in place that you may have already seen on the Triton and Triton 2.
You twist the top cap to the drip position, remove it, fill with juice, then replace it and twist the cap back to the vaping position. It’s an easy system that is mess and fuss free!
Airflow & Performance
Airflow is adjusted via a rotating AFC ring at the base of the tank, which opens up and closes down a cyclops slit at either side of the tank.
When closed the draw is tight. Even with the airflow wide open it’s still a loose mouth to lung draw at best. It’s a bit too tight for direct lung inhales, for me at least.
Pre installed with the Aspire Triton Mini is a 1.8ohm BVC Clapton coil head. I found the flavor from this coil to be fantastic at 18w.
There’s some pretty respectable vapor produced for a mouth to lung tank as well!
It’s also cross compatible with the old Aspire Nautilus and Nautilus Mini BVC coil heads.
The replacement coil included in the package is a 1.2ohm BVC coil head and again the flavor is impressive with this coil head too. At 14-15w the flavor is nice and rich, it’s also super smooth too.
Coil lifespan is quite good, I’m well into my second week with these coils and they are still going strong.
Ni200 BVC coils are also available to purchase separately for temperature control usage.
The capacity of the Aspire Triton Mini is 2ml. Even with higher resistance and lower wattage I still found this to drain quite quick needing regular refilling.
If I took it out and about with me as my sole tank, I could find myself refilling it at least two or three times!
What I like
The flavor from this tank is fantastic. The Aspire Nautilus Mini was one of the best best vape tanks for flavour ever released and for me the Aspire Triton Mini takes it to the next step.
I still have an old Aspire Nautilus Mini and I found the Aspire Triton Mini to deliver much more flavor when compared side by side.
Filling this tank is great due to the simple to use top fill system in place that allows you to fill the tank quick and easy. It’s simple to use and the same system used with the Aspire Triton 2.
You can strip down the Aspire Triton Mini, which you couldn’t do with the original Aspire Triton tank.
This is perfect for cleaning and maintaining the tank.
Plus there is a replacement Pyrex glass tank section included so that if you smash the glass you can easily replace it. This also saves you from buying a new tank.
The airflow control is smooth and easy to use. The cyclops airflow ensures you have loads of different adjustable airflow control options available.
What I Dislike
I know this is aimed at mouth to lung vapers and I did struggle with this tank for that reason as I’m so used to direct lung hitting.
There isn’t really an option for lung hitters to be found here. Even with the adjustable airflow and with the airflow wide open, at best it provides a loose mouth to lung draw.
It uses BVC coils, which means that it is only compatible with the Triton BVC coils and the
Aspire Nautilus BVC coils as well. You can’t use full size Triton or Aspire Atlantis coils in the Triton Mini.
The tank capacity is a very small 2ml, and even with the coils being higher resistance the tank does drain quickly, and you do need to refill it often. It’s very good at wicking, but this means that more juice gets used quicker!
Final Aspire Triton Mini Review Verdict
Rather than a mini version of the Aspire Triton 2, this is more of a direct replacement to the Aspire Nautilus Mini.
The only thing it has in common with the Aspire Triton 2 is it’s similar in looks. Performance wise it has more in common with the Aspire Nautilus Mini.
It’s really good to see the mouth to lung vapers given an option as their choices in the market are fairly limited at the moment. This makes the Aspire Triton Mini a great fuss free option if you prefer mouth to lung vaping.
I think just edges the Aspire Nautilus Mini as the most flavorful clearomizer tank for mouth to lungers.
It’s got great flavor, and as a bonus it is compatible with the old Aspire Nautilus BVC coils as well.
Pros
- Very flavorful vape
- Aimed at mouth to lung vapers. Who don’t have many clearomizer options these days!
- Cross compatible with Aspire Nautilus coils
- Can be fully disassembled for cleaning
- Cyclops adjustable airflow
- Top filling
- 1.8ohm Clapton coil is amazingly flavorful
Cons
- Not for lung inhalers
- Quite a restrictive draw
- Not the biggest vapor production
- 2ml tank capacity goes fast
- Not compatible with Aspire Triton coils
Nice and my favourite tank!
