Ooh here’s a proper decent little vape kit, the Aspire Deco!
It comes along with the new updated Odan Evo tank, and it’s a gorgeous little kit offering up to 100w of power.
Aspire, was established in 2013 in China, and is one of the most trusted names in the industry!
They have a back catalogue that is impressive, with tanks like the Nautilus GT Mini, Odan sub ohm tank, Cleito 120 Pro, and devices such as BP60 pod mod, MIXX and Reax Mini.
So What Can We Expect From the Aspire Deco Kit?
Aspire is marketing this as a compact, aesthetic and affordable sub ohm kit, this is an ideal step up kit, with no confusing menus or settings.
The device is manufactured in 4 colours.
Two types of battery can be used with the mod, a 21700 and 18650, depending on the battery type used the device has two top wattage outputs available.
Aspire have used its own self developed chipset within the device called the ASP chipset that adds loads of safety measures to the Deco.
The new Odan Evo tank is substantial in weight and is an updated version of their Odan sub ohm tank.
This kit was sent to me directly from Aspire for the purpose of review.
As always my thoughts and views are my own after a considerable testing period.

Design and Build Quality
The sample device I received came presented in a cardboard box, with the standard 4.5ml Odan Evo tank.
Aspire Deco Mod
The mod measures in at 92mm in height with a width of 40mm and a horizontal thickness of 28.8mm, the device is suited for atomizers up to 25mm in diameter.
Made of zinc alloy, aluminium, stainless steel as well as plastic, this is quite a heavy mod right out of the box!
Deco Mod From the Top
Both the connection plate and 510 threading are made of stainless steel the threads have been turned well.
The connection has a gold plated spring loaded pin, a lined pattern is engraved into the plate for those that use atomizers with a 510 airflow (very old school).
The connection point is raised from the body, giving the device a similar look to the smaller Ehpro Cold Steel 100, though I will admit the Aspire Deco is more aesthetically pleasing.
Deco Mod Front
This device has a 0.87in OLED screen, the coil resistance limits are stated as 0.1 to 3.05Ω, I have used a pair of 0.13Ω coils in an RDA with no problem.
The screen is not really bright enough to be read outside on a sunny day without shade, but does includes everything you would expect to see on this type of device.
The fire and adjustment buttons are made of plastic all buttons are super clicky.
At the bottom centre of the front is a USB-C quick charge port!
Body Of the Aspire Deco
Aspire have designed the device to be very hand friendly with what they call a polygon grip texture, the body has been powder treated for a rugged durability.
The side panels are aluminium while the main device chassis is made from zinc alloy, Aspire and Deco are printed on each side.
Aspire Deco Battery Door
The Deco mod has a sliding stainless steel battery door which is solid and moves well if a little stiff.
2 small battery vents encompassed within a circle decoration of the door, along with the usual safety marks.
Inside the Aspire Deco Battery Case
There’s a gold plated contact point as well as a positive battery orientation mark in red, the battery sled has been treated with a plastic type coating to help eliminate battery shorts.
The device will take two types of battery a 21700 or an 18650 with the included clear plastic adaptor, which is inside the mod from new!
The device has two maximum wattage levels depending on which battery type you use.
- 18650’s up to 80w
- 21700’s up to 100w
The Deco Mod has very a good quality of manufacture.
The design is ergonomic and feels great in either hand!
Aspire Odan Eco Tank
Made of Stainless Steel, Delrin and Pyrex the Odan Eco and 25mm in diameter the tank has 7 parts including the coil!
The base has all the relevant safety and design info, the contact pin is gold plated and the standard 510 threading has been turned well.
Airflow is controlled by 2 slots.
Inside the base you will see the reverse flat side of the gold plated connection pin, it has 2 protuberances that make contact with the coil.
Next is a retaining ring that helps to seat the tank in place and screws over the coil placement.
The chimney section is in one piece that houses the coil and Pyrex tank.
On the top part of the chimney section are 2 kidney shaped holes for filling.
To complete the tank it has a ¼ twist top cap and has a Delrin 810 mouth piece.
Two coils come with the kit, an there’s a spare Pyrex tank in the box.
Overall I would say the Odan Eco tank is solid quality and the design has been done very well.
How Does the Aspire Deco Kit Perform?
Today I will be testing the kit with the 0.3Ω coil and a liquid from Froot called “Bango”.
Aspire Deco Mod Quick Start Guide
- Insert your choice of battery
- You will be asked which type of battery, press either 18650 or 21700.
- You can charge the battery via the USB–C port, but as always, I recommend you use an external charger like Golisi S6 Smart Charger.
Odan Evo Tank Quick Setup
- Choose your coil, remove the base, pre wick the coil with a few drops of liquid and press into the tank.
- Replace the base and remove the top cap and fill the tank.
- Screw the tank onto the Deco and leave alone for at least 3 minutes before firing, allowing the cotton to soak up more liquid.
Operating the Aspire Deco mod
- 3 presses of the fire button will put the unit into stealth mode.
- 5 presses of the fire button will completely lock and unlock the mod.
- To lock the adjustment buttons press and hold the fire and – buttons, to unlock repeat.
- To turn the device off enter the complete locked mode and hold the fire button for 2 seconds! To turn the device on again press the fire button 5 times.
- To change firing mode hold the fire and the + buttons repeat for other modes vw/vv/bypass/cps (c1/c2/c3).
Aspire Deco Kit – 25 to 75w
Starting with at 25w with the 0.3Ω coil and the airflow cut to less than ¼ open, I was able to get a fair representation of a mouth to lung vape, and while the warmth was cool the resulting vapour was OK.
Opening the airflow up to half and whacking the wattage up to 35w produced good vapour and a fair flavour, and then to 45w with full airflow and DTL style vape.
The result was much more vapour production with a fair flavour.
I would have tested the 0.18Ω coil but it was a duff coil, so I put one of my Freemax Fireluke 2 tanks on with a 0.2Ω mesh coil at 60w; it really pumped the vapour.
I also tested the Hellvape Passage RDA at 0.13Ω and 75w and nearly blew my head off lol.
Aspire Deco Kit Battery Life etc
With an 18650 battery I obtained approximately 2.5 hours vape time, with a 21700 battery I roughly doubled that of an 18650!
The Odan Eco 0.3Ω coil stands up well under chain vaping, however the flavour wasn’t full on.
Pros
Odan Eco Tank
- Good quality and design
- Fair flavour
- Good vapour production
- Excellent liquid capacity
Deco Mod
- Good quality and design
- 2 battery choices
- Easy to understand menu system
- Comfortable in either hand
Cons
Odan Eco Tank
- Flavour could be better
- Duff 0.18Ω coil
Aspire Deco Mod
No concerns, functioned as advertised.
Final Review Verdict
I don’t rate the Odan Eco tank high because of the flavour from the 0.3Ω coil however it’s a solid tank that has been designed well!
The Deco Mod may lack some of the higher menu functions like temperature control, but as a basic mod I rate this unit quite high, it kind of looks like the smaller Ehpro Cold Steel side by side but I think the Deco’s decoration is better.
Would I recommend the Odan 100 from Aspire?
This kit would make a great upgrade from pod devices or a 2nd device for the more experienced – So “Yes” I would heartily recommend this kit.
Would I buy this kit again due loss or damage?
“Yes” it’s relatively cheap although I would personally consider leaving the tank in the box!
I have just received my Deco and it’s not working, can you give me the address to send it back for a replacement
Hi Yvonne,
You would be best asking the place you bought it from.
I like the look of this but not sure what’s aspires fascination with using the same display on every mod, this is what their last 3 or 4 mods have used, I suppose if it works then why change it, or they’re saving money by just using the same chip and display.
