Introduction to Apollo Premium Eliquid Range
The Apollo 50/50 e-liquids are a range that sell themselves as being “extremely well-balanced”. Apollo pride themselves on having a future facing vision. Even their “about us” section on their website reads like that blurb from a sci-fi novel.
They boast 20 e-liquid lines and over 400 different types of e-liquid. Keen to taste some Californian flavour to see if it would improve my surfing (I can’t surf), I quickly tore through the packaging to be greeted with 5 quite cool looking bottles.
Always keen to give any new vape produce a go I quickly popped the caps and had a good sniff. I have to admit that the smell was really quite good which had me nodding my head and hmmm-ing in positive way. The smell was clean and precise.. I was keen to get dripping!
The bottles came in a 30ml offering and as they came straight from the US they had been steeped with 6mg of nicotine. However in the UK this line will come in a 10ml bottles with nicotine strengths of up to 18mg.
I received this sample for the purpose of this review and as always, my views are my own.
Please remember that tastes are subjective, and your experience may be different to mine.
For this review I used my SX-Mini G Class and the 24mm Dead Rabbit RDA with Fused Clapton coils coming in at 0.12Ohms, cleaned and re-wicked between each flavour.
Keep in mind these e-liquids will also be great for beginners in mouth to lung starter kits such as pod mods and vape pens.
Apollo Premium E-liquid | Grape
Apollo Says:
Sweet grape flavour with a luscious vapour and fruity aroma.
I say:
The smell from this grape reminds me of the Willy Wonka gobstoppers I craved after as a kid. It doesn’t smell like fresh red grapes. But then again I don’t think grapes have much of a smell in themselves. As a grape e-liquid this is as close to proper grapyness as you can get.
On the inhale it has a full flavour. My mouth was watering with each puff. However there was a slight artificial and almost antiseptic taste which was a little disappointing.
The aftertaste continues the artificial flavour but that encouraged me to take another inhale to get that initial grape hit again.
In all honesty I did enjoy this liquid, but only in small stints as the aftertaste got to me after a while.
Apollo Premium E-liquid | Green Apple
Apollo Says:
A juicy and crisp Green apple flavoured e-liquid that is ripe with deliciousness.
I say:
A fresh green apple is an absolute understatement.
The flavour is sweet and succulent. The only thing missing to take this away from the real thing is the slurp noise I make when I bite into a juicy cold apple. This juice is mega! And continues the trend I’ve been finding during the testing of this range.
The exhale is a bit on the dry side. The flavour is definitely one way on this juice and I found that disappointing. The clouds were really good on this juice and practically caused a blackout in my front room.
For a sweet juicy apple you’ve got to give this a shot!
Apollo Premium E-liquid | Hemi Orange
Apollo Says:
If you’re a fan of orange soda then you’ll love this flavor!
I say:
The initial smell is of old school orange pop (soda). Which I found to be quite strong in smell and very inviting.
The flavour is bold on the inhale and I had to knock down the watts from 75 to 55 due to how overpowering I felt it to be. The exhale is as pure as the inhale and the aftertaste is long lasting. This really surprised me as soft drink style e-liquids really aren’t on my radar.
I really enjoyed this orange-ade and kept on dripping long after my testing period was over.
Apollo Premium E-liquid | Strawberry
Apollo Says:
Finally – an e-liquid that tastes like fresh strawberries.
I say:
The smell of ripe juicy strawberries. There’s something “proper” about the smell of this juice.
The initial flavour is of succulence. The berry flavour is fresh and clean and leaves you in no doubt that this is a strawberry liquid and nothing but a strawberry liquid. To be honest I’m really glad that a company hasn’t tried to mix a strawberry up with anything cakey or jammy as I find that it interferes with my enjoyment of the fruit flavour.
The clouds are good and the aftertaste is fresh. Probably the nicest strawberry I’ve had in a while.
Apollo Premium E-liquid | Watermelon
Apollo Says:
Watermelon at peak ripeness flavoured e-liquid.
I say:
This is simply amazing! That’s really all there is to it.
The smell is like cutting into a fresh watermelon. My only criticism is as I like my watermelon from the fridge I would have preferred a little coolant in it. But seeing as this is meant to be a raw/pure flavour profile I can get over that.
The inhale is sweet and moist, leaving a really pleasing coating on the tongue. Outbound the flavour mellows and really makes you want to take another hit. I loved this flavour and kept it on me until it ran out.

Final Verdict
All of the Apollo 50/50 range e-liquid bottles came without a VG/PG ratio listed on the label. But obviously, due to the name of the range we know it’s 50VG:50PG. But still, it would be nice to see ratios on labels if only to give buyers the confidence they need that the e-liquid they are buying suits their needs.
Overall, the clouds were OK. But to give these little juices their dues, the ratio isn’t meant to be for clouds.
I feel as though Apollo have given a of us what we’ve been searching a long time for: stripped back flavours, focussing on freshness and simplicity.
If you find any of these Apollo e-liquid flavours sound like they are for you and you pick them up I would love to hear how your experience differs from mine.
