4 in 1 vaping kits have exploded in popularity and we’ve got a new one to look at today – the 88Vape Quad Pod 4 in 1!
88Vape launched in 2013 with a specific mission to make vaping more affordable for people that wanted to quit smoking, but without compromising on quality!
These days their products are widely sold across the UK, in supermarkets and stores right through to online retailers such as Vape Club.
They have their very own facility in Trafford Park, Manchester where they produce hundreds of thousands of bottles of e-liquids in-house.
This keeps manufacturing costs down as they don’t need to outsource anything. Additionally they are offering a range of over 80 different e-liquid flavours. Here is a short video showing you around their Manchester factory!
Even though they pride themselves on offering low cost alternatives to smoking, they also produce their products to the highest possible standards and ensure that they are TPD-compliant.
88Vape have complete control over their entire manufacturing process, knowing exactly what goes into each and every product. They use only the highest grade pharmaceutical ingredients as well as food-grade quality ingredients.
What Can We Expect From The 88Vape Quad Pod 4 in 1?
This is a rotating, 4 in 1 vaping kit at a price that is very friendly to your wallet! “4 in 1” means you have a device with 4 different pods – with 4 different flavours if you wish!
As well as being a 4 in 1 kit for the budget-conscious vaper, this is a rechargeable device. It also gives you the ability to switch between four different flavours easily.
This is due to its four pre-filled 2ml pods and a rotating chamber that vibrates when your pod is aligned correctly.
There’s a big 850mAh battery built into the device, designed to last all day. Which can be recharged via USB meaning that you can keep reusing the device.
Especially as you can also purchase packs of pods separately once you have used up the ones included in your kit.
There’s a lot of different flavours to pick from here, with fifteen flavours spread across four different editions, covering fruits, sour flavours, ice and minty blends! As each kit contains 8ml in total of e-liquid, you can get up to 2400 puffs from each kit.
Each pod has a built in mesh coil and features a 20mg nicotine salt blend, to deliver fast acting nicotine craving satisfaction with no harsh throat hit. You’ll get a mouth to lung (MTL) vape simply by inhaling on the mouthpiece of the device, no pressing buttons needed!
Many thanks to Vape Club for sending the 88Vape Quad Pod 4 in 1 Kit over for review. Let’s see how this stacks up! As always, all views are my own…

Design & Build Quality
Each of the 88Vape Quad Pod 4 in 1 kits I received boasted a minimalist design with a smooth, matte finish. The Mint Edition is in all Black, the Ice Edition is a dark Grey colour, Sour Edition is Silver and the Fruit Edition is a darker Silver colour.
Measurements wise, these are 130mm tall and have a width of 32mm. They also weigh a reasonably hefty 105g and I could definitely feel the weight in them!
Though a little on the chunky side, the cylindrical shape makes it quite easy to carry around, fitting comfortably in your pocket or bag. Even though this is a budget kit, the device actually feels solid and well-constructed, with no loose parts or creaking sounds.
The rotating mechanism for switching between pods is smooth and intuitive, making it a breeze to change flavours. The vibrating feedback when your pod is correctly aligned is a nice touch too.
I did have an occasional issue where I would get the vibration to let me know my pod is good to go, but puffing on it wouldn’t produce anything, requiring me to remove and re-insert the pod which would seem to reset it.
Quick Start Guide
I probably should have looked at the instructions before diving in and trying to wrench the mouthpiece off to insert my pods!
88Vape do things a little differently with this 4 in 1 device. Firstly, you remove the pod chamber by pulling it away from the device. Next, grab your pods (each one has a handy ‘Up’ marking to let you know which direction to insert them in!) and pop these in through the base of the chamber.
Once you have your pods inserted, pop the pod chamber back onto the device, whereby it will snap into place satisfyingly thanks to the magnetic connection.
There’s a big ‘Align Here’ graphic on the device to show you where your selected pod should be aligned. If it is in place correctly you will get a subtle vibration from the device to let you know that this has been done properly. Though that isn’t always 100% accurate from my testing!
To vape, simply take a draw / inhale on the device. A light is present on the base of the device but this only really seems to light up Blue whenever you take a puff, rather than giving you any indication on battery life for example.
Charging
The internal 850mAh battery is recharged via USB-C, with the port located on the base of the device. No cable is included in the kit, so you will either need to purchase one or make do with one that you already own.
Fruit Edition
Blueberry Raspberry
This flavour blend offers a sweet and tangy blend of candied blueberries and raspberries, though it’s probably just a touch too artificial tasting for me.
The inhale is quite smooth and packed with fruity flavours, with a sweet mixed berry flavour that lingers on the exhale. The flavouring level is quite strong and punchy here, making for a pretty strong flavoured blend.
Lemon & Lime
With this blend I get a refreshing and zesty taste of lemon and lime. The inhale is crisp and citrusy, with a sharp, tart flavour that transitions into a sweet and tangy exhale.
As lemon & lime flavours go, this is a pretty decent one and I found this to be my favourite pod out of the Fruit Edition!
Strawberry Watermelon
Well, not too bad I must say!
Right from the inhale I get a juicy and sweet blend of strawberries and watermelon. The inhale is sweet and fruity, with a strong watermelon flavour note that dominates the overall taste. The exhale is slightly sweeter, with a hint of strawberry present.
For a candied strawberry and watermelon blend this really isn’t too bad at all, even with a more dominant watermelon flavour present!
Kiwi Passion Fruit & Guava
I would love to comment on this one but I got absolutely nothing from it I am afraid. The pod tasted horribly burnt right from the start and as such I could not vape this one at all.
Sour Edition
Sour Blueberry Raspberry
Quite a straightforward candied blueberry and raspberry combination here. It has a more subtle sour edge to it rather than a punchy and in your face one. The two flavours are well blended and I can distinctly taste both of them.
I quite liked the level of sweetness here, there’s a thick and syrupy sweet note to it which I found to be very pleasing and moreish.
Sour Orange
This is a pretty pleasant, sweet orange juice type flavour that has a reasonably sharp and sour finish to it!
It’s got a fair amount of sweetener present, but the flavour itself is quite pleasant and easy to vape. This one was definitely my favourite out of the four in the Sour Edition.
Sour Watermelon
Well, it’s a straightforward generic candied watermelon flavour that packs a lot of sweetener in the blend. The sourness is actually quite pronounced with this one and I could really taste it on the exhale.
Not one for me I’m afraid as I don’t particularly like watermelon, but I’m sure fans of watermelon flavours will enjoy it.
Sour Berries
Ok, so this is a pretty decent sweet mixed berry flavour and I do really like the sour finish to this blend!
I got raspberry and blueberry as the most dominant flavours in the mix here and a mere hint of strawberry in the background. This one tasted more of a Compote style blend rather than a mix of candied flavours.
Ice Edition
Cherry Ice
After I got past the initial issues of the pod not lining up correctly and as such not firing, this flavour was showing some promise. There was a strong, thick and tasty cherry flavour on the inhale but I wasn’t getting any icy sensation whatsoever.
After about six or seven puffs, a burnt flavour crept in which rendered this pod un-vapeable!
Blueberry Ice
Unfortunately, like the Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava, this one just had a nasty burnt taste right from the start so I can’t pass any comment on it I am afraid!
Watermelon Ice
It’s the same candied watermelon flavouring as I got from the Sour Watermelon pod, just without any hints of sourness to it!
Unfortunately, it’s also lacking any ‘Ice’ as well, as I didn’t pick up on that at all here, which loses this one points. At least I managed to vape this one without any burnt taste to it – I can’t say that about the others in the Ice Edition!
Pineapple Ice
Unfortunately the taste of this one was ruined by the burnt taste that I experienced in a few of these pods. I did wonder whether there was an issue with this batch of Ice pods as I had problems with all of them bar the watermelon one.
It’s a shame, as a nice, Pineapple Cube sweet / candy type flavour comes in at the start. But that burnt taste ruins the whole thing for me and I could only manage to have a few puffs on this as a result.
Mint Edition
Fresh Mint
You actually get two fresh mint pods with the Mint Edition kit. Which was actually quite handy as the first one I vaped on tasted absolutely horrible thanks to a nasty burnt taste right from the start!
With that aside, the pod that did work actually wasn’t too bad at all. It’s quite a generic mint flavour, but it tastes cool and crisp and was nice enough for me to puff away on.
Strawberry Mint
This has a nice, thick and sweet candied strawberry flavour on the inhale with a refreshing crisp mint in the background. A pleasant subtle chill runs through this blend too.
It’s kind of like vaping Aquafresh Toothpaste, in a good way!
Cherry & Lemon Mint
No idea why, but this reminded me a bit of a throat sweet flavour. I guess I just got that sort of feel from it!
The cherry and lemon flavours are quite artificial and there was a bit of a chemical twang to it that I could pick up in the background. The mint flavouring does rescue the blend a bit though, cutting through some of that chemical taste and there’s a pretty fresh chill present too.
How Does The 88Vape Quad Pod 4 in 1 Perform?
This device features a fixed power output and airflow, delivering a mouth to lung vape with a discreet level of vapour produced, it is fairly spot on in that regard.
The power output here isn’t as strong as some of the other 4 in 1 kits that I have tested out, meaning that I needed to take quite a few puffs to get a satisfying nicotine hit.
I’ve got no complaints at all about the battery life here. The 850mAh battery consistently powered me through a full days use with no issues at all, making it a good grab and go device for when I was out and about. Though there’s no real way to tell when the battery is about to run out, aside from the strength of the vape dropping off quite quickly!
How Many Puffs Do You Get From An 88Vape Quad Pod 4 in 1?
With these kits, 88Vape say that you can expect to get up to 2400 puffs with each one. But this will be affected by how long you take an inhale for and how often you vape on your device.
I put that claim to the test with the Ice Edition and found that this claim fell somewhat short. I got a total of 715 puffs and it didn’t really help that the Cherry Ice flavour burnt out very quickly during my testing!
Yes, I do take puffs of 3-4 seconds on average, but I would still expect more puffs. Especially in comparison to some other 4 in 1 devices I have tested recently such as the Avomi FLIQ 4 in 1!
An issue I had was with the consistency of some of the pods that I had over the four different editions. I was unable to properly vape a few of them as they tasted burnt right from the first puff. Also I did have some pods that burnt out pretty quickly, definitely within 100 puffs from each one!
Pros
- One of the cheapest 4 in 1 kits on the market
- Reusable 4 in 1 kit
- Large battery for all day vaping
- Wide selection of flavours
- Tactile vibration when aligning your pod
Cons
- Three out of the four editions contain watermelon flavours (big negative for me!)
- Issues with some of the pods aligning correctly
- Burnt taste in a couple of the pods
- Fixed airflow for mouth to lung vaping only
- No battery life indicator
- Puff count fell way short
- Fairly weak power output
Final Verdict
I’ll confess, I know that they are sold everywhere but I have never actually vaped an 88Vape product before!
I was pretty impressed with the build quality of this device and the vibrating feedback is quite a nice touch as well, making this feel like more of a premium device rather than a budget one. This is also dead simple to use, ideal if you don’t fancy refilling your own pods or messing about with power and airflow settings.
Performance wise, these are a little inconsistent.
However there are a good selection of flavours to pick from here and pretty much all of the popular disposable flavours are covered in the different editions.
Now, a really big plus point here is the price. This is the cheapest 4 in 1 kit that I can see online and you can grab one of these for less than a pound per ml of e-liquid. If you are on a budget, that represents some seriously good value for money!
Many thanks to Vape Club for sending the 88Vape Quad Pod 4 in 1 device over for review, this can be purchased from them for £7.49!
